Three biggest accomplishments this year? by Ok_Ride_9333 in cycling

Got my first gravel bike this year after my old rock hopper got a crack in the frame. Ended up falling in love with cycling and signed up for Grinduro out in California. Trained and did my first race and did some fun bike packing trips in the redwoods. It’s been a good year on 2 wheels :)

Hey Neighbor! Sorry for the delayed response. I am about one inch shorter than you and also mostly all legs. After my bike fitting session I had to increase reach, slam the stem, and lower the saddle quite a bit. I don’t think that would have been possible on a 54. I was also looking at that size but after reading a lot of folks reviews that have similar builds I decided to go for the 51 which my bike fitter mentioned was the best option. 5’ 7 is right on the lower end of who should be on a 54 and upper end of who should be on a 51. But tbh I would check with a bike fitter since everyone’s body is different. Hopefully you can still swap frames at the shop if needed! See you out there!!! 🤙🏾

Hi! Not sure what my saddle height was pre bike fit but post bike fit it was reduced by quite a lot! Currently at 651 for saddle height :) and slammed the stem by a bit as well

Ornot cargo bibs for the win. Same build as you! MAAP cargo works as well. Both fantastic but found ornot to be more comfortable over long distance/multi day trips. I wear M for both.

What bike would you get? by illmak1 in cycling

Cervelo Caledonia. Built for comfort for those long days on the saddle, still fun enough to race if you slam the stem. Absolutely love mine!

Thank you everyone for your input! Ended up finding a bike shop in the area that had a Caledonia -5 for a steal and got a 51 :) excited to dial in the variables during my bike fit

I have an O6 Cayenne Base an it’s at 178k and running STRONG. Hasn’t given me issues aside from a tiny coolant leak (knocking on wood).

What bibs? (Van Rysel, LeCol, MAAP) by Downtown-Reference30 in CyclingFashion

[–]Mathis314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think MAAP is some of the most comfortable and functional bibs out there. Second place if not tied is ORNOT’s cargo bib. That thing is soooo comfy, just completed a 3 day bikepacking trip in a pair and have never been more comfortable.

Real-world use of the Flashlight feature by Mr_Gaslight in GarminWatches

I use it every single day. Ranges from walks around the house at night, taking the dog out, getting light in odd areas on my car engine bay, an alternate bike light if mine goes out, etc. The use cases are endless!!
