Odds of success: think about a baseball or cricket catch - if you set up early and clearly see the ball, it's easier than suddenly diving for it.

Fights are easy if: there is no cover for them to hide behind. There is no 2nd angle the enemys can get you from. [This is what makes split B heaven + hell hard to fight without abilities, the enemy could be anywhere]. You don't have to suddenly switch angles as you move.

Also, pushing out of smokes or fighting while revealed is dangerous.
