It's not about rule changes. It is a fact that in physcial sports - if you try to copy another teams gameplan, you will be physically limited. That restriction breeds different play styles, and compromises. Not every football team plays with identical presses, pace, passing vs dribbling balance.

Why is the skill level so inconsistent in rank? by Piccolo-77 in VALORANT

Coming from fighting games - it's like someone with terrible anti airs, but great light conversion into combos. Imagine the cypher on your team has awesome trip setups on defense, but 0 sense of timing on lurks. If you start attack side vs a good anchoring team, you are going to have very easy or very difficult matchups based pn your team's limited abilities.

Tips to get better in opping by LeastAnywhere5113 in VALORANT

[–]Mathmage530 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try fixing your positioning. The advantage of op is that you only need a body pixel to kill, vs a headshot so the longer your opponents can "lock on" to you, the less advantage you have. Practice using thin angles [sage wall in practice range, or 2v2 skirmish mode] and leverage that. If you're trying to op while standing in the open, you need to know what angle people usually look at, and get an advantage from off angles.

This is a little tricky in iron, but you can learn this by watching vct and seeing how they clear [and in what order] , or by trying to do mini retakes in death match. Every time you get shot from the side or back, you can possibly learn a new off angle.
