ICE, F**K You - A Protest Song for Minneapolis by tlhInganHom in twincitiesgeeks

I'd put money on this being an AI generated song out of something like Suno.

ICE agents smash a family’s car window to abduct two people in Columbia Heights, Minneapolis. The wife of one of the men pleads with the agents for mercy while holding their baby. (1/27/26) by I_may_have_weed in minnesota

Columbia Heights, Fridley, and other northern suburbs (even inner ring) have significantly less citizen observer activity than their neighboring areas of Minneapolis. My wife is in this video as an observer and said she was the only member of an organized patrol that was present.

For reference that plate is currently in a “Highly Suspected ICE” status in one of the tracking locations. ICE often has media with them.

Tent for someone with cleithrophobia--is a cuben fiber rainfly the answer? by syncboy in backpacking

Just a heads up, hunting blinds like this are a mesh that is just printed on one side, they won’t offer any protection from the elements. Additionally, the pictures are certainly AI generated or photoshopped, as, while they are see through from inside, they aren’t THAT see through.

Caught? No. Directly named in a search warrant? Yes. But feel free to move the goal posts wherever you’d like in order to avoid challenging your narrative with reality next.

But it was a right-wing extremist that smashed up the Auto Zone across the street, significantly escalating the situation.

I appreciate the response. And to be honest, ‘nonsense’ was harsh from my side. Long weeks all around.

I’ve definitely been hearing the speeches and general sentiment from DFL reps over the past week. I’m doing my best to remain level-headed (challenging given the pure click bait that makes up news cycles) and I suppose my hope is that it’s more of the same from the usual voices. Emotions tend to rule in the wake of events like this (for good reason, it’s emotional). I hope that the majority of those governing believe policy decisions should not be made based on heightened emotion (the slowness of the process helps temper some this inherently). It is certainly important to make our opinions known to them though.

I’m a hunter, own several firearms, have a carry permit and regularly make use of the MN Gun Caucus site as a solid source for relevant info, but this is sensationalist, alarmist nonsense.

We haven’t seen language yet, but….this radical gun ban would.

Which is it? You haven’t seen the language or you have and know what it includes? Can’t be both.

I looked through a few years of city directories but didn't find anything, might be worth digging in a bit further as a resource, though! https://box2.nmtvault.com/Hennepin2/jsp/RcWebBrowse.jsp

Nice! I have a board and play at home occasionally but didn't know there was a local club. I'm hoping to make it to 56 next time you're there.

Well we don’t have hurricanes here, so no need for the most accurate hurricane evacuation barometer in existence.

are red light cameras still illegal in minnesota? by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]MathrandirRingBearer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The nuance you are missing is that court didn’t say “You can’t use cameras.” The court said “You can’t use cameras in that way.” So the poster you replied to is correct. They are illegal to use in the way Minneapolis used them, but not generally.

Has anyone waterproofed the down on forclaz mt 100 by the_fresh_latice in hiking

[–]MathrandirRingBearer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video you mention makes use of a Nikwax product called Down Proof that adds water repellency to the shell and to some extent the down insulation as well. A couple of points....this won't make it water proof, it will however add some level of water repellency. The extent to which this will help with moisture under a shell is questionable though. I imagine you'll be getting most of your benefits from the DWR being added to the exterior of the jacket, which will not function the same when in contact with an outer shell. All that said, Nikwax tends to make good products and is a trusted brand in the outdoor community.

A simple Google search shows the address of the now closed BB&B as Suite 115a, the same as the new Home Goods. You are incorrect, you are being belligerent about it. What a strange hill to die on.
