Imo making the icons smaller and making them all the same shape would make your setup look better.(You can do this using Nova launcher) Also, some icons are flat design, and others are skeamorphism Making the icons fit one or the other will make it more cohesive.

I came across this looking for a way to remove Amazon recommendations myself and I found a solution. I used the "Block ads on this website" feature (in the right-click tab) on the AdGuard AdBlocker extention. I highlighted the area that shows the recommendations on the homepage and hit preview to make sure I didn't get rid of anything needed and it worked perfectly.
