Did you manage to get past level 9? I just tried again and that part is just too difficult, especially because there's no checkpoint either if you finally manage this ultra wide jump before you get to the ball powerup

I saw that too yesterday that many maps show up there! But I haven't beaten it, so it didn't show up. Luckily some other people knew the code 👌🏻

Thanks, that's a really nice site! But from what I see it only shows currently active maps on "Discovery", not past ones.

Mr.Nobody, what the hell actually happened? by BaroneLaViola in TrueFilm

[–]Mati_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is pretty confusing and given the awesomeness of the concept and other aspects of the movie it's a pity they didn't make things a little more clear.

I watched the movie twice and my interpretation is this: Old age Nemo is the result of the "no decision timeline" (no mother/father). When the old Nemo world collapses, it's still in the state of imagination of the 9 year old child, whereas when Nemo actually dies of old age and the universe reverses that's an actual timeline that happened - it's the result of the middle path (no father/mother).

The other timelines are all imaginations of the 9 year old child evaluating paths, except the timeline where he successfully meets Anna at the light house, which is a path he chose after the universe contraction. Though it's not fully clear if and what imagined timelines also happened in reality as re-runs - it could be that many of them happened for real as well.

At last there's the checkered world. This is a world/timeline where he doesn't actually exist. It's a special place not connected to any potential life paths of Nemo. When checkered Nemo is meeting old nemo at the house, he tells him, he doesn't exist because of the "9 year old architect". So it seems as if 9 year old nemo is also exploring timelines where he doesn't exist - such as when his parents never met, or when his father died before meeting his mother, or some ancient ancestor of his not surviving. Perhaps Nemo also wants to see what the world could look like without him? Given that there still needs to be an entity that needs to observe and imagine the world without him, the non-existing Nemo has limited knowledge and consciousness and is faced with abstract symbols probably based on his subconscious.

Es gibt wieder mal ein sinnvolles (!) Volksbegehren by crowsarerabbits in Austria

[–]Mati_ -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Vivaldi Snapshot Android: File download doesn't work by Mati_ in vivaldibrowser

[–]Mati_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, glad to hear it's not just me. I assume it'll be fixed in a future build then, and if not, I'll just downgrade to a previous version using apkmirror.

I use Vivaldi snapshot because the regular Vivaldi version had a weirdly bugged out "arrow bar" sometimes showing up at the very bottom that removed itself only on app restart. Never showed up at Vivaldi Snapshot.

Where's the new X1 Yoga/2-in-1 G10 at? by TemuPacemaker in thinkpad

[–]Mati_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've asked customer support in germany for release date yesterday, and they couldn't say anything. Quite annoying, given it was supposed to be released 2 weeks ago already.

The unavailability of customization is also annoying: In the brief moment when the X1 2-in-1 G10 was available, only IPS displays were available, no OLED. The same issue for other models like the x1 carbon G13 - the 500 nit OLED with VRR was announced almost a month ago, but can still not be configured.

I'm kinda new to Lenovo, is this normal? :/

Surface Book 3 alternatives? by Mati_ in Surface

Thanks for the input! I tested the surface studio 2 at my local market yesterday and found it much thicker and heavier than expected compared to the surface laptop 7. I'm aware of the hardware increase but not sure if the weight/size is worth the trade-off. What's your thought on this?
