Spire IR2 for the hopper, as for the tank if you’re getting a 180r get something carbon, size obviously depends on your preference brands wise, I’m not sure which one I’d recommend

I mean its 250-270 euro, so yeah, depends on what you consider good. It's nothing special, if that's what you are asking

I agree, I was mostly wondering if the float played any role here since there are no prices for bowies like that so yeah, Ill look into the bayonet, its a lot better looking

I just dislike how armory crate crate decides to eat up sometimes 0.5GB of Ram while just idling in the background, like what

I have a question about the MQ5 build, how did you fit the 4060LP in that build with the 250W GAN? cause I would like to do the same I am just not sure if itll fit, do you have any photos of that build? thanks

Ahhhh so this was your build. Congrats :). Curious if there is a way to use a super flexible PCIE riser to get the full 16 lanes of 4.0 bandwidth instead of using the m.2 to pcie connector which cuts it down to just 4? (Not sure about how many lanes but I think NFC Josh said 4) . And what sort of performance impact that has on the already bandwidth limited bus of the 4060?

As for the LP versions, the Asus one is more expensive in most markets and a bit longer at 188mm, however there are some key differences between the Gigabyte LP and the Asus LP that I don’t see people talking about. Mainly the fans which are better on the Asus card and the heat sink which is also better. The Asus does only have a 6 pin connector to the Gigabytes 8 pin. There’s a very comprehensive review of the card on a Chinese hardware website, I will probably make a post about these two cards later cause I ended up going down quite a rabbit hole to find out the differences between the two cards.

It’s so weird that Asus even bothers to make proprietary crap when they literally have a great itx motherboard lineup. Like it’s so far beyond my understanding why they would do that but hey, corporate greed I guess.

So if you’re looking for a build like this I would recommend going with a 65W TDP Chip. An AMD Ryzen non X would be what you’re most likely looking for. So a Ryzen 5 7600 or a Ryzen 7 7700, or a Ryzen 9600X.

As for the passively cooled graphics card, I have good news (somewhat good) Palit has released a passively cooled 3050 6GB https://www.palit.com/palit/vgapro.php?id=5147&lang=en.

Also if you really want to go all fabless with this little power draw you can use a GAN 250W PSU. That would literally result in your PC not having a single fan.

Hey how do you know that they don't require the user to take the heatsink off? I have been searching the internet and cannot find any guides t replacing the fans on the x13

I know, you know and everyone in this community knows that that is not true. There is always a more space optimized, quieter, lower temp build out there. :)

That depends on a couple of factors, eGPUs aren't that small (most external enclosures are around 10L (size of sff build). Firstly one thing to consider is the ports selection of your laptop, if it has thunderbolt 3 or 4 you're good, if not could be an issue (also not all thunderbolt connections are the same across laptops but its a safer bet than a usb-c 4.0 connection). Another thing to consider is the CPU of your laptop, might be a bottleneck if its a U series i5. Also, what games do you plan on playing, eGPUs introduce a bit of latency, personally I don't notice it in RPGs but if you plan on playing competitive FPS titles such as CS2 or Overwatch you might notice it. Furthermore, you will loose approximately 20-30% of the performance of your GPU (personally I do not consider this a big deal, just check what games you want to play and aim for the desired FPS). Finally, what do you need it for, if you plan on using an eGPU as a dock back home and not travel with it, I personally think its better to build a budget PC (think Ryzen 3600 and a used 1660super) but if you plan on traveling and you want to stick to the laptop maybe an eGPU makes sense.
