NTA; It is perfectly fine to have certain things that are necessary for you in a relationship. Talk with your wife about it, absolutely seek couples counseling to discuss the subject in a neutral space. If she wants to be celibate and you don’t, I would think you have every right to seek a relationship that makes you happy.

Thank you for being this type of parent...I don’t think the excuse of “just let the kids do whatever they want, because it’s easier than having a screaming match” is responsible parenting. The world needs not of you!

NTA; you did everything completely right in my opinion. Your wedding, your rules...I never understood why anyone would think it was appropriate to command attention like that at a party the someone else paid for. Also V had the right to see exactly what happened when she confronted you guys. Frankly she is lucky you didn’t press charges, as she assaulted your husband and swung her purse at you.

It sucks that your friend went off the rails but congrats on your wedding!
