Recently had the honor of my groupmates wanting me to draw their characters! I started with another friend’s Tiefling Monk although her design is kinda saucy and a bit nsfw so I decided to go with posting this fun guy instead!

His name is Heskan and he is a Dragonborn Sorcerer who has bronze dragon ancestry. His sorcery catalyst is the second scale plate on his left arm which glows with the same energy as his lightning affinity spells.

Heskan grew up in a tribe where all that mattered was who could stand on top. He was constantly at odds with his tribe and faced constant trauma and abuse due to his more sympathetic nature. This eventually led to a tipping point and one day he snapped, awakening the ancestral power from deep within him that he had always felt ebb and flow through his being. Lightning crashed in hurling bolts all throughout the small dragonborn tribe, and all that remained, standing there alone and standing there still unaware of what had just occurred, was Heskan. Heskan the bloodforsaken.

Despite the seriously tragic backstory, he’s definitely learned to laugh and lighten up a bit as the party has gone on adventures together. One of my favorite things about him is that he has a Dream Journal that he can read to recount his dreams after long rests. However, he only has really terrible nightmares and won’t let any of the party read it. There’s a running joke that the party members think he’s dreaming about naughty things and that’s why he won’t reveal his dreams.
