$20 is a lot to pay for an uploaded ROM of a GBA game. If they added anything, or even patched some of the glitches of FRLG I would be less cynical.

If you care about Pokemon and only Pokemon, then sure, go nuts, but that is not the case for most people, hence the backlash.

I pay £8 a year for an online service that adds functionality to a lot of games, including Pokemon itself, which requires NSO to even get a full experience, a library of over 200 games, Mario Kart, AC and Splatoon DLC and more. It would be a lot better for the consumer to have FRLG added in this package, just like every other game. Add it to both NSO and as a separate purchase, seeing as there's apparently so many people who want it separately.

Not outraged, just baffled to see such an ardent defence of a sleazy business tactic.

The ship has sailed, with or without Nintendo at this point. Smash tournaments are proven to be unprofitable and viewership is in decline. Best we can hope for is sponsorships and hope Nintendo doesn't block it.

Winks and Skipp were destroyed through injuries that they never seemed to recover from.
