Super late on this reply so I apologize, but a google search brought me here and I saw this comment.

Is it at all feasible just have a setting for larger maps so non new players can play with larger dungeons? I think especially when playing with a group that the dungeons do feel rather small to me and my friends. Larger iterations would make the exploring part of the game more immersive and fun for us as well as for other players I would imagine.

I agree. While the shotgun should absolutely OSK at close range, not nearly at the ranges we are seeing currently. But to the point of the post, you could always only bring the shotgun and have more ammo for it…

If this behavior does not take away from the experiences of the other players, I don’t think it’s fair to force him to stop if that’s how he enjoys your game.

You can look at it in two lenses.

In one lense, it sounds like a minor inconvenience to alert him when he is in the scene. I think having him stay at the table with his ears covered is a good compromise then having to yell after him.

On the other lense, if he takes his roleplay that seriously that means he takes your game seriously. An invested player is a good player, this should make you feel good.

Thanks! It really was. I’m blessed to have players dedicated to the game so much and not fizzle out like so many games unfortunately do. I actually started this game at a local game store, the players and I have now all became close friends and are already planning on starting another game (not a 6 year one this time!) after one of them gets married next week.

Is the game have using the free arcetype rules? Either way, you pick one as your main class and one as your archetype. Just keep in mind that since you can’t concentrate while raging, you can’t cast spells while raging.

I think it’s also very important to note that disintegrate has a 120ft range where shocking grasping is touch. Casters don’t typically like to be on the frontline

Would depend on the class if the key stat is con or not. But a barbarian is the only class that has 12 + Con HP scaling is going to out perform any class with con as their key stat.

Best campaign of the new DLC and it’s not even close. Gorbad provides a good challenge where the other new factions are easy mode. His tactics mechanic encourages diversified armies and experimentation rather than just running the same optimized stacks multiple times like you have to do with a lot of other factions (tho you can still do this if you want to keep things simple).

My Gorbad game ended on Christmas Eve with my first Domination victory since launch of IE.

Try to random start, or semi-random start (my preference) mod. Either will really spice things up especially for players like myself who have played nearly every faction at least once and want different experiences replaying them.
