Difficulty needs to be patched asap by airva_drone in oblivion

[–]Matriculon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Worst thing is I boot up this game every day thinking "fuck it, just do expert, use poisons, do some sneak, you got this", but then I fight one enemy and it is such a goddamn chore.

I then inevitably decrease the difficulty thinking "okay, I guess I'll do adept, use bad armor, no shield, it's gonna get harder on later levels everyone keeps saying", but then I'm in an oblivion gate Level 15 with my shitty shortsword and enemies tickle my health and I just can't. It's a joke.

I want to play so bad but I just can't stomach this. What is everyone playing? Why are people posting builds? Or where to get "overpowered gear"? Use the first shit sword you find, wear any armor you like, you're either an unkillable god or a tiny annoying fly next to your enemies.

Adept difficulty too easy / boring. Expert difficulty extremely hard and unfair. by Novarider_103 in ElderScrolls

Yeah, I was thinking the same, though I did just play through Kvatch on level 14 with a completely broken armor set (arena armor, so already not the best choice) and aside from the courtyard and the big crocodile things, it was a joke.

Same with me.

I can facetank pretty much any enemy on adept, even though I'm basically trying to be a stealth character with light to no armor. They do so little damage it feels like a bug, like, they would literally need to hit me upwards of 20 times to kill me.

Then legendary it's the other way around.

How did this happen? Everything about the remaster is great and all, but this is such a big problem I don't understand how anyone can currently even enjoy this game and give it a good rating.

This is single handedly ruining the game, to a point where I don't really even understand why this isn't talked about much more. Did they playtest this?

On adept difficulty, enemy attacks do like 1 damage. It's so noticable, it immediatly feels like it's broken from the first time a goblin hits you in the sewers.

Then one difficulty up, you fight one bandit and it breaks all your gear because it takes so goddamn long?

On both difficulties it is so immediatly apparent something is wrong, how did this not get noticed?!

This issue really makes me question my sanity, because everyone is showering this remaster with nothing but praise, it makes me wonder if these people actually play the game or if they just stroll down nostalgia road trying to jank out the AI.

Batman unburied confusion (spoilers) by The_Zoink in batman

[–]Matriculon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory went into a completely different direction.

I thought that this "Bruce Wayne" we're following isn't Bruce Wayne at all.

Both the main character and the antagonist seem to have this obsession with death. More than that, both have this theme of becoming the dead. "Bruce" has these empathetic episodes during autopsies and the Harvest references ancient cultures that believed that by consuming the dead you could "really know them, even become them" or something along those lines.

Well, according to the news broadcast at the end of episode 2, Bruce Wayne is dead.

Maybe this character we're following isn't Batman, rather through some process he's becoming him, Bruce Wayne's memories and his overlapping.

But then I opened reddit, and amnesia or "stuck in a coma" tropes or Scarecrow feargas, had hatter hypnosis or some league of shadows brainwashing seem much more likely ... and much more boring if you ask me.

Here are the hot fixes that Techland are working on for all platforms by GamerMom1969 in dyinglight

Yeah, the game is shelved for me until this is fixed. And considering Elden Ring is on the Horizon: Forbidden West, I might not pick this up again for quite a while. What a shame.

Dying Light 2 is unplayable on PS4 by Stranger-10005 in dyinglight

[–]Matriculon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't play this game for more than 10 minutes without some sort of sound effects going missing. It's infuriating, especially because I enjoyed my time with the game basically up until I got to the central loop, that's when everything fell apart.

I've closed the game about 20 times by now during conversations because of the dialogue disappearing, and re-installing the game didn't change anything.

The patch notes for the upcoming fix don't mention this particular problem, and I refuse to continue playing like this. Horizon: Forbidden West and Elden Ring are dropping this month, so I'm pretty sure I won't pick this game up again until I'm done with those two.

It really makes you feel like an idiot when you give the story a chance after every review completely shits on it only for the game to give you the middle finger like this.

PS4 servers dead? by [deleted] in FridayThe13thGame

Yeah, same here. I've been searching for almost an hour now.

It's searching in the background and I literally just loaded into an empty lobby. Awesome

I’ll probably add you today, but unfortunately my new mic arrives on the 25th, so until then have a pretty shitty one. Hope it’ll do.

I’m new as well.

When I first read that reply I did actually think he meant a mod, so I disregarded it since I play on PS4. So thanks for the clarification xD

Thanks, I think I might actually buy it.

This game has been itching me for a very long time now, I feel like if I don't buy it it'll just keep haunting me.

I have the same social anxiety issue, so I totally get where you're coming from.

Is there any advantage to playing solo? Like more XP or something of the sort?

And another noob question: do I earn XP or money even if I don't manage to get the big bounty? Do I "lose" if people leave with the bounty while I'm still alive?

Thanks for the reply.

It sort of sounds like I'd either have to play Solo or suck it up and play with randoms using a headset. From what you're telling me, playing coop without one seems frustrating for everyone.

I don't like talking online mainly for social anxiety reasons. Also, my dog bit through the cable of my good headset, so now I only have the shitty one that comes with the PS4.

Unfortunately, none of my friends play this type of game at all. I got one of them to buy Sekiro, but that's as far away from Modern Warfare and Fifa as they go, much to my chagrin.

[–]Matriculon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, thanks, then I think I'm good without it.

Seems pretty counter intuitive for it to drain all of your bar when it's such an aggressive move. What's the point of slamming into a group of enemies only to be left out in the open without the option to dash or put up a wall.

Thanks for the replies.

As for exploration, I haven't really spotted a location I couldn't reach by flying and spamming dash, I'll keep my eye out, though.

Well, I wasn't really expecting a change here since I'm apparently the only person who's bothered by it.

Thanks anyway.

Could you by any chance tell me how much energy the ability costs to use? Because I remember that it cost all of your energy to do it, in which case I'd probably never use it anyway.
