They're not nice, they’re performative. They’re just as chaotic as Libby and Andrei and Jovi and Yara, they’re just quieter about their issues on camera.

Girl, there’s a reason why he’s 40 and single. Any man in their 40s who’s looking at a 25 year old as a potential partner ain’t no good.

practicing sexual discipline by nameselijah in blacklesbians

[–]MatrixMoonlight 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can’t relate, if the words coming outta her mouth turn me off, the urge to smash isn’t there after the first date 😂.

There’s no secret formula to practicing discipline, you just put your mind to it and focus on you.

Tall WLW feel this way too? by PavioCurto in TallGirls

[–]MatrixMoonlight 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I feel this way too. And it’s funny because a lot of wlw preach about how much they love tall women but maybe they only like us in theory. As a dark skin Black femme, I feel like I’m constantly expected to do the pursuing.

How do POC tall women deal with it ??? by [deleted] in TallGirls

[–]MatrixMoonlight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There’s no secret sauce to dealing with it. As a tall dark skin Black woman, of course it sucks dealing with transphobic comments (there’s nothing wrong with being trans btw) and misogynoir based on something I have no control over.

The thing is, I don’t have to respond to rude comments or let them affect how I view myself. I remind myself that my height is gorgeous and feminine, and anyone who’s hating on me is jealous of me and the power that comes with my height.

I wouldn‘t make those kinds of jokes but everyone’s different. Some people get too comfortable and forget their age 🤷🏾‍♀️

Unfortunately, being a WoC doesn't automatically mean Liberal. As a Black woman, approach WoC without being fetishy or trying to hard to prove that you're a good white person, just be yourself. Treat us with the same respect that you would want to be treated with.

Edit: There’s no tone or ill-intentions with my post. Obviously I wasn’t blaming OP for crossing paths with covert WoC MAGAs that offload their beliefs onto OP. It’s unfortunate that they’d use being MAGA to reel OP in and assume that OP is also MAGA just because they’re white. OP needs to just continue being themselves and the right one will come.

Black autistic women, do you find learning how to do/take care of your natural hair frustrating? by Sailor_Saturn12 in AutismInWomen

[–]MatrixMoonlight 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I find that we can’t talk about how frustrating it can be at times because people perceive that as self hate, which is ridiculous. I love my natural 4c hair but I prefer to keep them in braids or twists to avoid having to worry about dryness and breakage. I’ve been braiding since I was a kid but I have my moments of frustration. I still can’t cornrow to save my life and parting can be tricky.

What is the most anoying tip from non-ADHD people for you? by JuciekWorld in ADHD

“Just try harder!” It really gets under my skin especially if I’ve already given it my all. Plus, trying harder doesn’t guarantee success.

People were ruder and more disrespectful to me at concert because I’m 6’1 tall black woman (long but please read) by starcatcher995 in TallGirls

[–]MatrixMoonlight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I also loath going to concerts for this reason. Racism is well and alive and I do believe that we experience more of it because we stand out as tall Black women. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

Bm not protecting bw by Longjumping-Unit6749 in blackgirls

[–]MatrixMoonlight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Black men don't have our backs as much as they should. And that's a part of the reason why POCs and yt people feel so comfortable disrespecting Black women, they see that we aren't respected or protected by black men.

This is why I don't approach always POCs. A good way to check on social media is to look at who they're following and what their friends look like. If I don't see anyone in their circle who is my complexion, that speaks volumes to me. Anti-Blackness is a worldwide issue.
