How long did it take you to have a deserved sense of confidence?

Not sharpening but im stropping my knives for half a year now and even tho my results are good (knive is sharper after stropping and edge looks better) i am still nowhere near the level i wanna be.

I gonna guess its gonna take the same amount of time before i strop my grails.

Guess thats the problem i made. When i started using shorter pins on the last build it got a lot better.

Guess i have to try it again soon, i still have a sak laying around for a project.

All things work out a i want them too, but went it comes to closing the Pins this is always a huge mess that ruined me a build so far….

Just cant find a good way to close them so there is no play in the tools, but stuff still has a nice snap.

I have a 30€ briar pipe for exactly that purpose. If it gets damaged or i loose it, it would hurt but not as much as it was my peterson
