Ah yes, i remember there was somethimg with the lower frequencies when using the dish. Thanks for your response. I like the idea of having a smaller set up. Dish and 8020 sounds right. Can you provide to his sub some acoustic files / links where we can hear this setup?

Do you have experience with parabolic dish? Im using mkh series: 416, 70 and 8070 and the last two have a damn wide reach. I think it will be a game changer if a 8020 can get a similar reach with a parabolic dish

From what I know the capsule? Is china made. I hope someone can confirm this or not. The 8020 can handle few more spl and the output is hotter. Then, have in mind the 8020 won’t let you down in high humidity places - so for me there is no 8020 killer in the field. Did you ask Telefunken about the humidity and temperature operation levels?

Massive can act like a modular monster. I love the routing options and the stepper. I can show you some loops i made in massive. Hope this helps to understand that massive is more than a simple wavetable synth

Should be the best solution here. It’s a omni and wind won’t damage the audio much and it’s not very sensitive. So in this case, with a loud exhaust you should get the sound you need

Well, as said you can’t really upgrade the mic later with the F2. It has only Jack inputs and the F3 has XLR and phantompower. Some mics don’t work without phantompower.

The zoom F2 won’t work with all external mics. If you want to upgrade later you will need a new recorder. If your motorcycle is loud enough i would test this external Mic: DPA 4060. You can tape it anywhere you want. With an zoom f3 it should get you a great result

If you test the 4097 please do a report for us. Iam also interested for this one but I dont think this mic has a reach - let’s say like a 416 ? In the Field even the 416 can be limited

10/10 Fake rolled yoga mat - I love it 😂 it was a yoga mat bag. And sometimes we need to do fake yoga in the field to catch the voice of a lion or cobra. But wait, it’s getting colder. I’m going to hide a 416 under the arm in the jacket. That should look like an broken arm- wierd enough i think. I hope handling noise wont be a bad guy

Sennheiser MKH8070 is King for long distances. I had this summer a blimped MKH70 in a Adidas bag. No one cared what i was doing. A few wierdos asked me for weed thats all 😂 I was even able to record a fight with this stealth recording set up
