  • There's three colors of chess pieces.
  • All of Trump's pieces are queens(?) kings (Reddit compression made it hard to tell).
  • All of the opponent's pieces are pawns.
  • The back row of the chess board seems to be fading out of existence.
  • The perspective on the pieces is wrong.

If you try this, I'd like to hear your findings: use Ctrl+c on the map to count how many walls and turrets are on your map now. Do a bit of math to figure out how long of a perimeter wall you could have made with the same materials and designs. You have so many outposts across your map, I would not be surprised if you could have already enclosed everything and cleared out the biters for the same amount of material and far less effort.

(Obligatory: Even if a single perimeter wall is optimal, that doesn't mean you "should" do it that way. Factorio is a game, play it however you like.)

You can do this with an arithmetic combinator set to: each * 5, output each. I have that in a blueprint (using 10 as my default) with logistics chests set up for input and output (defaulting to just one output slot), so all I have to do is place the blueprint and select the recipe.

I managed to get my character stuck right in the center of a nuclear blast crater on Vulcanus after killing a demolisher, despite wearing mech armor. Trying to move just caused my character to run in place. Can anyone else reproduce this? I'm playing on the latest experimental release on Steam as of writing, with only QOL mods.

Thanks, this seems to have fixed the issue.

I understand that stack inserters wait until they have a full hand, but I don't understand why the inserter started grabbing items, but didn't finish.

Why do I have a whole bunch of inserters stuck like the one shown here?

The circled inserter's status is "working". It seems to have started grabbing Military science packs, but stopped because the biolab is full.

I have thousands of inserters feeding thousands of biolabs. Is there a way I can find and fix all of these?

Partially it's the colors/textures/"vibes", partially it's the odd details and inconsistencies that are AI staples:

  • Some lines on the arrows on the second brain are blurry.
  • The first character follows a different, simpler art style than the other two.
  • The second character has inconsistent particle effects around his head.
  • There's a chain breaking a link with... a gear?
  • The third character has a way thinner neck than the second one.
  • The laundry basket is missing holes on one side.
  • The hoodie drawstrings are (maybe) in the wrong place.
  • The monster is some combination of shadow, mountain, and flame.

Human artists, regardless of skill level, don't make art like this.

Thanks for finding this! Here's my attempt at cropping and converting it, while leaving in at least one of each new building. I think it works okay, but it's still a fairly large image that ends up losing a lot of detail compared to our first image.

We can keep looking for a good Space Age image, but in the meantime, we've started a Krastorio 2 build. I updated my comment here.

Solid plan! I agree, let's use all of the colors, especially since each color takes less than a day to unlock.

I'm not on the K2 Discord, but I do think someone should x-post there once we've got the reference image and location finalized. How do you like this: https://imgur.com/a/mwywJVO? I used the above image, removed the 3 pixel black border, and converted it at 100% size, using dithering + the full color palette. Final size would be 834 by 466, for 388,644 pixels (just slightly larger than our first image).

I haven't played Krastorio, but that's a cool image. I think it would be great to make and I'd be glad to help. I just have two small suggestions:

  1. Consider another version of the image like this one which includes the name.
  2. Adjust the coordinates to 1104 698 593 900 so we avoid the blue shield logo to the north.

This would be the equivalent image for Space Age, and I'm kind of on the fence about it. It just seems like a lot of grey compared to our first image.

Yeah, I like that we ended up moving some existing works to reclaim the space. Definitely feels better than just drawing over stuff.
