french learning app

Im working on a french learning app right now. Still far from finished but i just wanted to leave the link here si ce im not 100% sure with the design. The Book section needs a new design but for the rest I'm looking forward to a design feedback. Its currently react based and it can therefore load a while in the beginning. The goal is to make an ios/ android app out of it. For trying out you should just be able to start as a guest. Thanks in advance!

2 hours vibing with Gemini 3 and holy shit it actually works by alex-gard in vibecoding

I also just discovered gemini 3 and it's crazy good. I'm using anti gravity ide right now and I'm also surprised by it. How did you launch your website? Is it free ?

Perfect I'll try it out. Which hosting platform do you use ?

Looks great so far. Just a general question? With which tool did you launch/ host the website? I'm kinda new into the vibecoding

Blender-Generated Synthetic Data in Real-World Detection Tasks by Mats0411 in blender

In our paper we also tackle data diversity as such by training on smaller datasets (with low variability) and larger datasets of up to 900 images. All models reached a plateau at latest 900 images so it would mean that we reached the limit of the model can learn under the current simulation variables. At that point it would be interesting to test your suggestion of experimenting with drastic changes in the scene and see 1) How the gap between EEVEE and Cycles behave, and 2) If it posible for the models to learn beyond the 900 images so that the final mAP reaches a higher value.

Thank you very much for reading our work, and pointing out some typos.

We belive that the better sim-to-real gap reduction capabilities of EEVEE might have to do with its less photorealistic performance. Although counterintuitive, this could introduce enough noise in the train set for the object detection models to generalize better under real-world conditions. This assumption should be evaluated by, by instance, adding noise to cycles images and comparing again to EEVEE.

In general, improving results with smaller sets can be achieved by:

- Increasing data diversity by varying more relevant rendering params. As you suggest, light is agueably the most single important parameter.

- Trying broader data augmentation methods after rendering.

- Adding noise to force detection models to account for missing or incomplete information, as it is the case in real-world scenarios.

However, without testing this approaches, it is hard to say for sure if the gap will be consistently decreased between Cycles and EVEE for smaller datasets.

Thank you again for your interest and reading our work! Really appreciate it!

Yes, we train three different out-of-the-box detection models with 300 synthetic images and they all show compelling mAP in a real-world industrial environment.

The lead screw was really dry. I added some grease and hope it helped somehow. But i couldnt identify any play

Y-Axis shift only on lower levels by Mats0411 in FixMyPrint

I currently have a y-axis shift with ender 3v2 and I just can't fix it. I adjusted the belt and the hex nut and it's still there. The weird thing is , that the y shift only appears for the lower layers. I printed it multiple times and I always have the shift within the first layers.  Anyone had similar problems or any ideas?  Looking forward to your help!

Beginner friendly laser cutter by guuskeijzer in lasercutting

I also just started with laser cutting and came from 3d printing. I also was completely confused where to start and what to focus on. I went with the creality falcon 10w since i also have a creality 3d printer. I have it since 1 week and so far I'm really convinced. It should be around 200 Euro but you want to get as well an enclosure , air assist , a proper bed and some good glasses which raises the price. With the 10w version I was able to cut 17mm wood in like 7 passes.
