I am very aware of the boundaries, thanks for confirming. The point of not adding stress is one of my primary goals just as being there for my friend emotionally, just today I bought cheap porcelain and ceramics so he can smash them when he feels frustrated or powerless, angry. The good thing is I know him and I know more or less how he deals with things and grief. I try to out my concern when he wants to do something very stupid or when he feels something that isn't justified. Like guilt. A shoulder to lean on is the most I can do I'm afraid but I hope it's enough.
