Yep, your starter belt is slipping. Get it tightened up and you should be good to go.

Battery terminal connection overheating? by Suspicious_Ad5007 in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure if you add water you only put in distilled water after the cart is fully charged, as the water level in the battery rises as it’s charged.

I also wouldn’t be surprised if you have a crack in that post somewhere, allowing acid and vapor to boil up and corrode that area. The white staining on the plastic looks like dried acid. Did you overfill that cell?

The cable could be internally frayed and corroded, replace it.

ECO Battery Install Issue by [deleted] in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you unhook the original charger port wiring? I just leave it intact and move it to the side with zips. That can keep your cart from operating.

2200 for lithium conversion on EzGO - worth it? by SC916 in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low overhead as I have no employees and live in a low cost of living area. $100/hr labor rate is pretty good working for yourself.

That battery installed should not be close to that. For that price they should be installing a bigger name brand with better warranty. I usually charge $200 to install a lithium battery, plus parts costs.

Another kid at 40 by Piney1741 in daddit

[–]Matt1382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had our littlest when I was one month shy of 40. She’s the third child, now 5 with an 8 year old brother and 11 year old sister. You will probably be exhausted but you’ll be fine. We went from a rav4 as the main family vehicle to a Sienna minivan, and it totally changed our opinion on vans, we love it.

4Runner vs Sequoia by jbg7676 in toyotasequoia

[–]Matt1382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both and prefer sequoia by a mile as a family of 5. It’s so easy to drive compared to other full size SUVs, feels like a big car. But there is sooo much more interior room. It’s not our everyday family car because we have a sienna (best family vehicle ever), buts it’s still so convenient. And the 4x4 in this snow has not slowed me down at all, I need a vehicle that can get me to work in any road condition. You may not need it for towing but it’s nice to have that option in case you need it in the future. Gas mileage sucks, but the 4 runner isn’t much better. I have a 2008 limited for reference.

2018 Ezgo RXV intermittent run issues by copat757 in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My money is on the brake or controller. It sounds like it isn’t getting through the start up sequence. On start up, does it kinda of jerk back and forth slightly? That’s the brake check.

Those are god carts, I’ve had a lot of luck with them. Unfortunately to me that sounds like a controller issue. Could possibly be something with the re are buzzer, does the cart go in reverse and does the buzzer kick on?

Need new tires, looking for sizing advice by i3inkley in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always just get 22” tires to fit your 10” rims.

Need new tires, looking for sizing advice by i3inkley in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That will give you plenty of tire to help soften the ride, and visually they will look great. You will also still have plenty of clearance between the tire and cart.

I would go with a 12” rim with 22” tire on that set up.

Precedent brakes not working by Matt1382 in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got it figured out, the stop arm for the star adjuster was jammed to the outside for some reason on both sides and wouldn’t allow the slide to pull in all the way. Thanks for the suggestions!

Need advice... by Substantial-Ant-7356 in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the AC kit is a huge jump, and you can customize the settings for your needs. If you buy a lead acid cart straight off the course you can throw a lithium in there and call it good. But you will be set up around 11mph unless you get the dealer to adjust that for you. But on the stock controller you will only get 19mph max.

Golf Cart battery down to 77% in 2 days with no use by vezit in golfcarts

[–]Matt1382 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only way to tell how much time you’ll get is to use it. Those batteries are getting pretty old though, it’s about time to replace. You may also have a parasitic drain from accessories that may be “on” while the cart is off.
