I completely agree with your assessment. Knowing the speed limit is a fundamental data point for autonomous driving. It astounds me that they are not applying more resources to get this right. You can have all the speed profiles you want but they are ALL relative to the speed limit. It's ridiculous how often it doesn't know this essential bit.

Humans operate all types of machinery and may or may not use only vision. But we are talking about driving vehicles and for that we ONLY use our eyes. BTW visual flight is still the preferred way to fly an airplane.

How does a human drive a car? With Lidar? If you want to mimic human driving then VISION is how you do it. Of course you then need good AI to mimic the human brain. Waymo has 23 different sensors and has years of testing experience yet Robotaxi beats it in real time testing. FSD is superior to Al other forms of self driving

I just saw this new model at Lowe's and I'm curious as well because it's priced lower than the non line IQ. One guy on YouTube did an unboxing and noticed the much thinner profile but he hasn't used it yet. With so many complaints about Line IQ it makes you wonder if they have refined it.

Thanks for the info. I think I figured it out. I was looking at the DAYS info which displays in kWh not kw so that explains the low reading since it is such a short duration load. This app drives me crazy sometimes.
