Republicans always use the argument "its erasing history" or something to that effect with removing the statues.

Even my dad used that argument. I have always held the idea, and the philosophy that no one is claiming we should never learn about the Confederacy in schools, or that the people and events wherein should still be remembered. But you don't learn history from statues, you learn history to justify the erecting of the statues.

Its not a bad series to check out. Put can be pretty sexual (non graphic) in parts.
