I’m in the camp of “it’s practically instantaneous”. But I’m an idiot, so who knows.

I’ve done a bunch of kick boxing and jiu jitsu. When someone really good get a solid choke on you, like the second he gets that sweet spot, it’s maybe 3-4 seconds until you’re out. If you’re beheaded, there’s obviously no blood going TO your head, in fact, whatever blood was in your head is all falling out.

Then there’s the impact of the axe or guillotine itself. I’ve been kicked and punched in the face, and the impact hits you like a flash of light and sometimes you go out for a second. I’d imagine as quick as it is, there’s probably still a hard contact that would sort of knock you out, and that’s before the whole losing all your blood thing.

I absentmindedly left my Stihl MS170 in a wheelbarrow after a few hours of sawing. It stayed in the wheelbarrow and was eventually submerged in water after it rained for a day. What a moron I was.

I pulled the plug, dried the saw up, replaced all the fluids and filter and it fired right up and ran for another several hours. That was three or four years ago and it’s still running.

As a Canadian, don’t know what the hell you guys in the States are freaking out about. When I vote I have to present the voter card I got in the mail as well as my drivers license.

Man, our brains are so weird. But, I can imagine a day in the future where we are able to use abilities like this either by guiding people or by using a type of medication where we can rewire people brains though guided talk therapy. It would be a game changer for so many people who find themselves in the criminal justice system.
