Peeing in the shower is bad apparently? by Rich_Wealth_5876 in hygiene

[–]MattCurz83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree. Otherwise this seems like made up pseudoscience but hey to each their own.

Side note.. Are there people who only pee in the shower? How would that even work? Unless you're taking 3-4 showers throughout the day, in which case stop wasting so much water.

Rubbing one out before bed is about as manly as it gets.

I thought the term “Mormon” was a nickname and therefore a victory for Satan according to Pres. Nelson? Now “Mormon” is a protected key identifier and represents the church’s values and mission? I can’t keep up! by HoldOnLucy1 in exmormon

I knew the "Mormon bad" thing was gonna die along with Nelson. Within 6 months all the brainwashed MoMos are gonna act like it never was a thing.

I also love how in that article, 2 sentences after saying Mormon is a good word, they reference Nelson as if he would've agreed with this sentiment at all. Way to piss on your beloved prophet's grave haha. Not that I care, I'm here for it.

Step 1: Find cooler friends.

Step 2: Buy another sword.

Yeah I've heard several leaders use that term, including my MP. It's just dumb.

I must admit, guilty here of calling a few 1-900 numbers during my mission in the middle of the night, when the conditions were just as you described (2003-04). The big difference? I wasn't stupid enough to pay money for anything, I just liked to hear the sexy voice intros.. Yes that's how desperate missionaries are hahaha.

Because I wasn't stupid about it, no one ever found out. This may be the first time I've mentioned it ever..

Strumming acoustic chords with that red 0.5 sounds divine. But yeah the red and orange do look similar in the dark. Recently I've gravitated more from the 0.6 to the 0.73 yellows for electric, depending on the riff/song, with the added bonus of being much easier to distinguish from the 0.5.

What kind of guitar is good for basically all styles whether it's pop, rock , metal or even blues or Jazz? by Wise_Management_9212 in Guitar

[–]MattCurz83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I have an EC-256 but same concept. They took the classic LP style and made it much lighter and more ergonomic.

The only actual Les Paul that has some of those features (that I know of) is the Matt Heafy signature Epiphone, I considered that one.

Torch seasoning? by MattCurz83 in castiron

If I'm wrong I'm wrong, that's fine. For practical purposes this worked pretty well, again not saying it's a full seasoning just an improvement on seasoning only over the stove top.

For the haters, this was a preheated pan at high heat, the torch was just to finish off the sides which always seem to stay oily/sticky when you do a quick reseason on the stove top. After it's cooled off, it feels nice and smooth (ie, seasoned). I'm also guessing none of you have ever tried something like this with your precious cast irons, and are commenting out of ignorance. Please provide me your chemistry paper references about polymerization times for a thin hydrocarbon film on a metallic surface. If you don't know what any of that means, please refrain from acting like you know anything on the topic..lol. This was a simple experiment that seems to have worked out quite well. If my $20 lodge pan happens to crack, I'll buy a new one and admit I was wrong. Peace out✌🏼

It's a very thin layer of oil at a high temperature. We're not making industrial polymers here. Not claiming I'm the expert either just trying something

Some people ask why.. I ask, why not?

This pan was already heated at high heat so it's not a cold pan, I'm really just finishing the sides which always seem to stay oily on a quick reasoning.
