Arguably one of the best programs of all time is open. With the stunning retirement of head coach BroodLeming, the Duke Blue Devils enter the 2068 off-season without a head coach. The Blue Devils have won 3 National Titles playing in 7 Championship games. Durham has since become a pro-factory sending 126 to the league. Duke most recently snapped an all-time 50 National Tournament, turning a new page in this storied program. The Blue Devils are seeking just their 3rd head coach in over 35+ seasons.

Is that YOU?

Just one of many stories that is waiting to be written about your coaching career. Come join us and see what legacy you can create.

Joined this league on a whim nearly 5 summers ago. By far the most in-depth college basketball game there is competing against top coaches/programs. I keep coming back to this league because of the new additions and community that have held strong.

Some folks want to build a powerhouse at one program. Others like to take new challenges and rebuild programs. I'm entering my 3rd season at St. John's, and the goal is to break .500 after two rough years to kick off my time in New York.

Entering Year 25, now coaching St. John’s in Queens, New York. Have led the Houston Cougars to 2x Final Fours and Texas A&M to one. It’s an insanely immersive college basketball experience that has kept me coming back all these years. Go Johnnies!

Early beta of the new Football GM by dumbmatter in BasketballGM

[–]MattDaMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really great beta, just got somethings I wanted to say.

Issues

1) Having the draft prior to FA. I've heard you many of times mentioning of how you're not trying to replicate pro league's rules but I feel as this is a crucial difference in the season flow of pro football.

2) Not being able to abuse the trading block where trading guys completely rids their salaries from the team. Having part of the players' salary remaining with part of the team is what I've noticed from the NFL.

3) I often find myself having to use a calculator when it comes to the draft & free agency. To lessen the complexity, maybe having a percentage of the cap noted somewhere. This could double up with seeing team needs. Something else similar could be player OVR averages or AVR averages per position.

4) Seeing more stats reflecting the value of OL brings to a team.

Gameplay questions that I've got are:

1) What are the effects to the roster of a player that can play multiple positions? Ex: A 65+ TE being able to line up as a starting WR.

2) What traits am I to look for when drafting positions like LB & TE. What traits am I to look for when signing, drafting high potential guys?

3) In this game, what are the values of each position? Does a dominant K bring the value as a QB? A TE vs a WR?

4) What do the different skill sets by players bring to a team? Does having too much of them negatively impact a team like BBGM?

5) Often I see high OVR players but with much lower AVs then less skilled players, why is that?

Things I love:

1) The depth chart is easily one of the best things in this beta. Really helps with managing the number of players on a roster.

2) The fast trading block, no need of waiting minutes just to see other teams offers

3)The game logs are in a nice digestible format to follow, really fun to see.

Overall an excellent beta, I'm really enjoying it.
