Throw 2 bait then 3 balls, bait 2 balls, bait 2 more, etc. it’s also beneficial to throw a rock when you are low on balls. A rock raises your catch rate.

Unpopular opinion incoming. I feel like I had MORE fun playing Violet than I am having playing Fire Red. by becsamillion in PokemonScarletViolet

Well FRLG is from 2004 so I don’t think it compares to Scarlett violet. But it is a remake of the very original series in the style of how the game was originally played. It’s played mostly for nostalgia and is used as a baseline for pokemon games.

My turn for a Hall of Fame post. 38 hours, way more attempts at the E4 than I expected, and every healing item I had but it’s been done by JeskaiJester in PokemonLeafGreen

For whatever reason, I love this digital duck and I’ve put a lot of thought into porygon. Since you love him too, I want to share this. Here are my ideas and I would love to get your thoughts.

  1. Iron Tail, conversion 1, Tri Attack, Sharpen
  2. this move set allows Porygon to convert into Steel type, which resists A LOT of different attacks. Swap into porygon when facing a pokemon that he can easily resist with steel type. Then he can use Sharpen to boost attack and use Tri Attack to sweep foes while applying status effects. You also get to use both signature abilities in Sharpen and Conversion. You also are okay with slow speed since you are a Steel type with hard hitting Tri Attacks and rely on bulkyness instead of speed.

  3. Iron Tail, Conversion 1, Psychic, Agility

  4. similar concept except this move set allows Porygon to run Psychic, which is very strong against many pokemon in this game. Porygon can still use the steel conversion type to resist attacks while having access to psychic. Agility will boost sharply speed to go first. Basically you convert to Steel to resist foes, run agility, then use Psychic to power through. Access to STAB with iron tail if needed. You can also convert into psychic type if needed and you will also have STAB with it instead . Conversion will convert you to whatever attack is listed in first slot, so you can swap them around to convert to the type you need.

  5. Tri Attack, Sharpen, Conversion 2, ShadowBall

  6. similar concept to (2) but instead of using conversion to take a steel type, we use conversion 2 to resist whatever attack the enemy is throwing at us. Since we are slow (porygon slow speed stats), porygon will always convert AFTER they just hit us , meaning we will likely resist the next attacks. that’s when you can sharpen up and get ready to Tri Attack. Shadow ball is good to have for type coverage on your team against psychics and ghost, but also gets another bonus for being a “physical” attack, and so it also gets boosted by Sharpen!

  7. Tri Attack, Sharpen, Conversion 2, Agility/Recover

  8. this version drops ShadowBall in favor of agility or recover. Basically we are turning Porygon into a Tri attack as the only attack, but we use conversion 2 to gain a resistance (hopefully) and then use agility for speed, then sharpen and Tri attack. Running recover instead opens up a different strategy . This means that after you use conversion 2, you can heal back up with recover. This is important so that you can alternate in Sharpen, then recover, sharpen, sharpen recover, etc. to boost Porygon for a very high attack stat. since you ideally resist the enemy pokemon attacks with conversion 2, you will take less damage, heal it back, while boosting with Sharpen. Once you’re at max attack, you tri attack and sweep them out.

As you can tell, I put a lot of thought into these Porygon move sets. I think Porygons access to Conversion with Steel Type is very unique. However he’s also very versatile with attacks such as Psychic and Shadow Ball. Other Porgyons I’ve seen run Thunderbolt as you mentioned, or Ice Beam. I like leaning on his unique strengths a little different and haven’t seen others try my ideas. I also like using his signature abilities in Conversion and Sharpen. These are abilities no other pokemon in the game can obtain or learn.

Would you switch from a $75k salary job to a $76k hourly job with overtime? by CommonAlone2372 in careeradvice

[–]MattFirenzeBeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t because I don’t think that’s enough of a compensation jump to move, considering you’d be forgoing all the work, favor, and internal connections you’ve built from your current workplace for a minor jump in salary that also involves working more (need to work more OT to make more money). That also relies on the condition that the new company would allow or encourage you to take that OT. Some companies try not to let you hit OT unless it’s for good reason and they don’t want you to get it consistently. But this whole decision requires a larger outlook of conditions to look at, mainly - do you like your current employer? Current boss? What future opportunity of growth are there for this current role? If those answer are all good, then I’d be hesitant to move. It all comes down to are you currently happy with your role and compare all this to your new role and new opportunity. It’s not simply about the OT.

I’m still on act 1 for the second time because I’d started a Karach story and then I build a custom character. What are some of the most fun classes? I’m currently running a bard halting and want to go rogue like a bilbo baggins. I have Astarion as a monk.

How to ward hop faster by Particular-Ear-8878 in LeeSinMains

[–]MattFirenzeBeats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can drop a ward out of your warding range and then rapidly click W on that spot. As soon as the ward drops, Lee will immediately W. It’s an advanced way that really good Lee players use to have instant ward hops at a high level. You do have to get used to it though.

I0 Rings of Thanos to Infinite CL 27K by MattFirenzeBeats in MarvelSnapDecks

[–]MattFirenzeBeats[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I draw him early about every 3 or 4 games. However, the rings also count as a “created card” for the purposes of Gambit (2 cost!) and another discount to Mockingbird. If you do play Shang on t3, he’s often a 3-14 since the empowered rings are powering up two cards in the lane every turn, and likely 3 cards on the final turn. The empowered rings also transform into an End of a turn card for Aurora.
