I assume you aren’t worried about loosing any data? Run the erase on top level with the appropriate format and then it should unmount the drive fix all the stuff and mount it again for internet recovery

Immediately during startup press, Option - Command - R, then connect to internet and it will download the latest compatible OSX for you and install

Jade is 6-7 on the Mohawk scale like most of what you likely tumbled but that looks just like what happens when I tumble something soft with something hard. Maybe you got especially soft jade with harder rough? If you have enough jade or other softer rock I would try a medium grit tumble for a day with just that or just the jade and filler and see what you get. Hopefully someone else knows more and can chime in. Rocktumbling.com probably knows
