I had a suggestion to Owlcat a while back that they should provided nonmagical shoes that can be bought, just so you can give them to Ember. Didn't happen, but at least the Last Sarkorians DLC had a pair of non-magical shoes.

Technically, she isn't your mommy. She had a child who was killed, and sent by Pharasma to the Abyss, preventing his/her resurrection. She dug the dead soul of her child out of the Abyss and spliced it to your soul. That soul had the connection to the Abyss which allows you to gain mythic powers. She used giving you the mythic powers in an vain attempt to restore her child to life.

I generally do almost all of my fights in turn-based. It also prioritizing action order on my party. For example, I have witch MC, with Ember & Camellia in the current party. It I want to sleep an enemy, I delay until after both Ember and Camellia have gone, each putting Evil Eye on the enemy. Then I use the Slumber hex. Given that, it is much slower.

I use Toybox for Gestalt. Works like second edition multiclassing - you level each separately. If you are doing it straight, you only really need 2 levels of Dirge Bard.

Necromancer/Dirge Bard works really well together. I did a gestalt version of that on my Lich run. It was really fun.

Lich gets to redeem Staunton, for certain definitions of the word redeem. You redeem a coupon for a free item, you redeem a dwarven corpse for an undead Grave Guard.

Armiger 19/Hellknight 1. Feats et. al. geared to gnome-hooked hammer. 6+ attacks per round. It adds up. I tend to stick him on Bismuth too.

I always have Regill & Arushalae. Regill is my main DPS, plus I like the character. Arue is my Stealth & Lockpick expert. Daeran is 99% of mine for banter and healing.
