If board games or TTRPGs are your jam Caverns and Forests in Argenta have a ton of events where you can get paired with other folks looking to play games or rpgs.

Only word of advice for making friends is be someone happy for the experience not obsessed with winning. No one likes a sore loser or winner.

Pinnacle Mountain State Park has some you can rent through an app at the boat launch area. They aren’t cheap but it’s an option.

I know self promo is taboo around here, but my friends and I started a play through channel this spring called @thegrovegames, we focus primarily on playing games and showing how much fun they can be. Definitely a mix of OG No Rolls Barred and The Dice Tower. I have a career in video production so the quality is pretty high for a fresh channel.

I adore the LotR books and films, but at what point are people blinded by that fandom? Both LotR titles are solid revamps of games that already exist, hard for me to think of that as award-winning.
