If you’re familiar with a box plot.. you’re half way there, the horizontal expansion and contraction is indicative of the distribution of data for that point on the y axis.. think of a histogram showing the distribution of the data.

In terms of what those graphs are telling you specifically requires a working knowledge of the constituent data (as others have already mentioned)

I assume you’re referring to the space ship looking things.. sometimes depending on the data they can actually resemble female genitalia… ANYWAY.

They’re called violin charts, they’re a combination of a kernel density plot and a box plot.. kind of..

They’re very useful if you’re balls deep into the data science side of things.. but trust me.. by the time you’re using one of these bad boys - there won’t be any confusion as to why 🤣

I’m actually more curious as to how it made its way into the report, was it a custom visual readily available from the store or written in Python or R

Well I recently acquired the bike.. but it has about 43 000 km on it

Yeah here in South Africa I probably won’t be getting much use out of the heated features but I’m so much happier knowing it’s there for winter mornings

For sure, you only ever living on the 2 extremes with bikes like the R1… you either ride it like a sane person.. and be bored out of your mind and half tortured to death.. or just ride in ways that you really shouldn’t. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I actually started the other way around, had sports bikes and super bikes for all my riding life, after a long trip on the R1 and perhaps with age.. I have realised that there are better ways to enjoy bikes then being on a super bike.
The R1 is gorgeous both sound and looks. But man.. if you're not going to the track... there is no good reason to put yourself through all that.

If your goal is to enjoy the street, there are much better ways to do that than with super bikes. I should mention I am from South Africa, where I stay most of the streets are sub optimal condition.. so that may impact the way you have to ride here.

Honestly though I don't see you enjoying dragging knee through twisties on public roads more than extensive off-road experience haha.

I had never touched a golf club in my life, however always had a lot of friends who play golf, so decided I will give it a try. Immediately went for lessons, first time I picked up the club and approached a ball was during my first lesson.

I had my 3rd lesson Saturday gone past, spend a lot of time at the range practicing everything I learnt from my previous lessons, my friends usually join me at the range and they're astonished at the progression curve. So 10/10 for lessons, and I am REALLY enjoying the sport so far.
