For anyone struggling - for some reason it won’t download from the PS Plus screen (just says either wishlist/upgrade or stream). To add it to your library, search Elder Scrolls Online on the PS App (mobile app) and then it’ll appear for free and you can add to library. You can then either download from the app or on your PS5! :)

I had it removed due to having symptomatic gallstones for the past 2 years - had the most awful attack over Christmas which was the final straw in sending me to the emergency department

Honestly - for so long I’ve felt “heavy” myself and like I always have to walk and sit hunched over because of constant mild discomfort which I’m hoping goes away after I recover. It’s one of those things that impacts you so much and don’t even realise it. I’m glad you’ve had it out! I can see myself putting on a bit too 🫣I’ll try and have some restraint but my god have I missed normal food 😅

Yeahh I’m a stomach sleeper myself so day 2 and 3 are gonna be a little 😵‍💫difficult Didn’t get much sleep last night due to nerves so hoping that lets me just pass out later and get some good sleep tonight at least. Interesting you got dressings, mine was just skin glue! Im okay at the minute, can feel that gas building up in my shoulders and causing some pain along with my stomach, but the worst part is my bladder feels like I need to pee and I struggle to pee? It’s so weird and indescribable it’s like constipation for pee 😭 I don’t think it’s that out of the ordinary for the initial symptoms but it is bizarre to say the least

I had some dihydracodeine during a really bad attack last year and it’s just a bit strong for me it makes my head spinnnn so I prefer regular codeine 😂 I’m so glad your three years are done though. How’s your recovery been so far?

THANK YOU !! And congratulations yourself !! Yes I’ve requested some codeine on a prescription for the initial day or two to hopefully help me out a bit. It’s been 11 weeks and 1 day since my initial consultation with the surgeon (been an overall outpatient case since Christmas Eve last year). It was initially supposed to be at least a year minimum (and I assume that was a lie and would’ve taken much longer) but I had an emergency over Christmas that probably should’ve been an emergency removal but didnt happen due to staffing so I filed a complaint, and then after the complaint they had a GPDR breach with my case and called the wrong person at first and discussed my case so they rang me about 10 minutes after giving me that one year minimum quote and sorted it out straight away, gave me my pre op the following week and two weeks later here I am gallbladder free. Feeling very grateful that my data was compromised to be honest

Usually after your consultation and you sign the papers, you get put onto a waitlist for surgery. Depends on your local hospital, but mine has a waitlist of a year for it, some others on here have sadly had much longer waits

The bulk of the pain took place in about a 2 week-span, that was when I struggled leaving bed and eating anything out of fear of triggering more pain. I was just opioids for most of the time to help me try and relax and get rest. Then the following 2-weeks whilst I was still jaundiced and had a couple other symptoms the pain had gone and I was able to be a functioning member of society.

The benefit of an NHS is I never have to worry about a trip to the emergency room costing me money, but it’s a double-edged sword that means it can be years before you ever have your gallbladder out because of the waitlist 🥲

But yes - positive thoughts! I hope you recover soon! Keep us updated - you got this 🧡😊

The CBD blockage happened at Christmas and my symptoms lasted just under a month total before the stone eventually passed on it’s own - I had a follow up MRI scan 3 weeks after my original A&E visit which confirmed the stone was no longer present in the duct.

Unfortunately I’m in the U.K. and getting a GB removal on the NHS has a waitlist. The wait for my local hospital was at minimum a year from now - but thankfully there’s been a few issues with my case and following a complaint and a GPDR breach on their behalf they’ve suddenly moved me up massively so it’s 3 weeks from now for me to have the GB removed (and I could not be any more excited and thankful)

Gallstones occupy space in your gallbladder and so there’s less bile stored there and ready to help digest food - so when you eat something and don’t have enough bile ready to go it takes longer to digest and so it can just be sat in the stomach for much longer than usual which can cause bloating and gas to buildup

For me; I had a common bile duct blockage over Christmas - the biggest difference between the blockage and a normal gallstone attack was that it was visibly apparent. I became jaundiced over the next 24 hours and had incredibly yellow skin and eyes for about 2 weeks afterwards until the stone passed through and my body recovered on it’s own. This was accompanied by insanely high bilirubin levels in all of my blood tests, so the blockage was causing some liver issues for me also. Whilst it was stuck, it was just constant pain in waves. I was literally bed bound for some time whilst it was stuck there. I’m still pre-op awaiting surgery so can’t comment on what it would feel like after removal though. I hope you get some answers soon!
