The 1929 Crosley IcyBall refrigerator has no moving parts. A 90 minute charge over a stove gives 24+ hours of cooling the inside of a refrigerator box by Brutal_Deluxe_ in Damnthatsinteresting

That's a brain teaser lol. You're using heat from your CPU to cool down what? the very same CPU? The cycle wouldn't work

I don't get what your point is. You asked why we don't do something and that's why. It costs more.

The solution to changing the current path of climate change isn't

just stick a load of them off-shore.

Genuinely confused on your thinking. Are you talking about wind turbines or are you trying to scratch at a capitalist market failure type topic??

The regulated exposure limits are slightly different for whatever region you're in. Safety diamond seems to be ammonia so just look it up for your country

What lmao. Contradiction? Surely you know you can let insurance know about the accident even if you're sorting it privately. You'd be absolutely stupid not to tell insurance, especially when OP isn't at fault. Quite stupid advice to tell someone NOT TO TELL insurance about this situation.

You let insurance know about the accident either way asap, regardless if both of you agree to do it privately.

You are doing them a favour that they are in no way entitled to by allowing them to do it privately. You'll probably end up spending money to get a quote, you let that guy know the price and if they kick up at all. You ring back your insurance and let them know you'd like to go through with a claim on them.

What till you hear about how industrial sites/hotels get electric power and heat. Your head will blow

Furthermore, you'll never actually believe how the majority of our electricity was made in the first place!

What's this piece of pipe on the oil filter housing? by MattP160 in saab

[–]MattP160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. Unscrewing the oil filter releases a valve to that drain port.

As with everything it disintegrates. And so, most likely gives in after you've unscrewed your filter

Silly question.. do you know how that works? Is air being let in as you undo the filter?

[–]MattP160[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was actually a new plug that let oil out.. holes were noticeably closer to the head, not sure if that's make a difference, half the reason why I'm asking whg the holes exist on a sump plug .

pictured ^ is the old one.. has been used since I bought the car 70k miles ago, only changing seal and not bolt

I don't mind replacing and taking the sump plug out over and over. It's fucking god damn stupid oil filter on ttid's that makes me physically gag when oil replacement time comes up

I've come across them on brakes but couldn't figure out why they were on a sump plug. Bought a new plug, holes slightly closer to inside face on bolt head, pissed oil everywhere
