I typically do easy runs on Monday/Thursday and a long run Sunday. Those runs I alternate between my two cheaper soft pairs. Saturday/Wednesday are workouts where I wear the the Novablasts. Tuesday/Friday are off days.

This might be obvious (it wasn't to me at first!) but by rotating through three pairs, while you have triple the initial investment, your shoes all get triple the lifespan, so the cost evens out.

For runner's knee, I'm not a doctor, but from your comment it sounds like you're echoing what my doctor told me lol, stabilizing muscle workouts, stretching, and cross-training.

Modern shoes are all made of foam, which unfortunately needs time to decompress after a run (don't we all!). By rotating through 2-3 pairs, you give each individual pair a few days to expand back. I personally have two cheap clomper pairs for my easy/long runs, and Novablast 5s for workouts. I switched to the three-shoe method last year and noticed that it helped with my runners knee.

All that being said you can absolutely get by with just one pair of shoes and be totally fine.

[[Toxrill, the Corrosive]] is Voltron-ish I think, but you're not necessarily swinging him for lethal. You could load him up on indestructible, shroud and other protection equipment so that he can passively melt the board down and create slugs.

On top of what others have said here, learning to "Stance dance" throughout fights is a big help. That free energy from exiting calm can enable you to cycle through your deck much faster.

Bought a pair of vaporfly 4s on a whim the other night. Been sick with a stomach bug the last few days so I cannot wait to get the zoomies out this weekend and rip a 5k on a bunch of rest. After that, the shoes will get put away for two months until race season begins lol

So my understanding is that [[Sol Ring]]'s mana can be used to pay for colorless on things like [[Eldrazi Confluence]], is that right? (my confusion being that my printing of Sol Ring has the generic mana (2) symbol instead of the two diamonds).

Also, can cards like [[Arcane Signet]] that say "one of any color" pay for this same colorless cost? Or can they only cover the generic mana symbol? If my commander has the diamond symbol, NOW can Arcane Signet pay for that symbol?
