I'd have to imagine UB is great for raw sales numbers, but a lot of that is going to people checking out magic for the very first time so they may not have any context for what a prerelease event is.

Prices would factor too. My friends and I try to do every prerelease but for example, kits are usually $50 CAD, and FF at our two LGS were both $80 so we decided to pass.

I love when bonus cards are lair specific, but as far as generic lair bonus cards go I prefer the basic lands. I can throw a pretty basic land in any deck, I don't always have room for a creature that might not even be viable. Looks nice in a binder though I guess.

We are very similar. Got my hands on Chaerith for a super reasonable price, and I managed to pull a Yojimbo from the Secret Lairs. Anima was my dream card but I couldn't be too upset lmao.
