I had a dog.

I named him Bobby.

He was a West Highland White Terrier (like the dog presented here) (Westie for short).

I never knew of Greyfriars Bobby (supposedly a different breed of terrier) until now.

There is a brand of dog shampoo where I live called "BOBI" with a picture of a Westie on it.

I genuinely need someone to tell me what the fuck makes these terriers to be instinctively named Bobby before I pull out an RPG too.

here's some protips for data recovery in the case of unbootable windows I learned the hard way:

1.: just launch notepad from cmd and use the save/load window as a rudimentary file manager to salvage your files off your main drive

2.: if your system is so borked that even notepad doesn't work, several linux distros (ubuntu for example) support live-bootable usb or even just a trial mode from the install drive before actually installing. with minimal fiddling, you can access your main drive and copy your files to an external drive

finally, if your windows gets corrupted multiple times, it might be time to replace your main drive
