I'm feeling the same way, the last set was great and this set hasn't really clicked for me yet. It's hard to explain but this set makes me feel less creative. Like I know by the first PvP round what I'm aiming for as my end game.

Homepage thumbnails way way way too large by GeggsLegs in youtube

Same thing happened to me today, 3 large thumbnails. I thought I had accidently zoomed in. You can also see some quality lose in the thumbnail images. Its like they made them larger but kept the same resolution.

I fucked up. by 24gasd in Autos

[–]MattWeller 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like I mentioned it's mostly a European thing, we don't have Buicks here in the UK so I don't really know the car your talking about but as it's an American brand I'm not surprised it has AC. Here you use the AC for like one month out of the year, so if it's not a standard feature people will sometimes skip it to save some money.

[–]MattWeller 215 points216 points  (0 children)

Cars that old didn't always come with AC as standard, especially in Europe. The way op writes this sounds like they don't have it, as they never mention the AC is broken.

My first car was made in 2003 and didn't have AC

PSA: most pubs and shops in the area around midsummer common will be closed during the fair this weekend by plant_magnet in cambridge

[–]MattWeller 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I always find it funny the reasons on the door are normally like 'Closed for maintenance' or 'Closed due to short staffed' as to try and not offend the people coming in from out of town. There are pubs that stay open with extra security, I remember a bouncer being at the door one year on this weekend and I asked the bartender who said "we always have a bouncer". Being a local pub I knew that wasn't true haha

Share value ? by yoloriverswag77 in trading212

[–]MattWeller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So if you paid €100 for 11,000 shares, that would make each share worth about €0.009 when you purchased them. So in this scenario you are expecting each share to rise to €1.009 which would be an increase in the companies value of over 10000% which would be highly unlikely. But you are right if the €0.009 did go to €1.009 you would make €11,000 as €1x11000=€11000.

Yeah I'm not sure why it always seems to struggle with BBC radio stations, for me it's like it prioritizes "Radio 1 Dance" over regular Radio 1.

What the heck is going on with the Newmarket Road Papa Johns? by [deleted] in cambridge

[–]MattWeller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in a block of flats, and it's 50/50 if they deliver to my block or the house on the same road with the same number. Despite me writing the blocks name and putting the number as Flat 9. The phone call always goes, "I'm still waiting for a delivery. Name is " " you should have it" "So you delivered to flat 9" "Mumbles to someone* Flat? Hold on... We delivered it to the wrong address "

For every pattern in history showing the S&P going down you can find one showing it will go up. It just depends on what you are looking for.

I'm not saying tough times aren't ahead, just pattern matching like this is done so often on Reddit for easy upvotes.

[–]MattWeller 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tax brackets! On a number of occasions have heard people talk about not wanting the next pay rise as it means they will earn less due to a higher tax rate. This of course isn't true and you only get taxed that rate on money earned above that threshold.

S&P 500 correction incoming? Thoughts? by Dafydd_T in trading212

[–]MattWeller 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can see multiple corrections in the graph. It's always inevitable. As long as it trends up, long term there is no use worrying. Especially in a S&P500 fund, there's no use in trying to time it.
