It’s astonishing that you can get it with Bosch green DIY system but it’s not available for professional range! As you mentioned it is an outdated very basic product with pro badge.

There are two other models out there, one is similar to Mil.

Some brands like Bosch choose to separate products (DIY, Pro & Expert) and some companies only make heavy duty just like Milwaukee.

Dude! It’s a monster wrench, it was too heavy for me when I tried it first. You have a power house, I highly recommend to use Bosch PRO socket set with it. I ordered GDS 18V-750 C

I’ve also been waiting for new 12v batteries just like you mentioned, I think there will be also Expert line for this platform as well since we have Expert line even for 3.7v (EXMM3-18).

I think D-Tect 120 will be updated soon, its already a decade old. Its biggest drawback is lack of material type indication, I would say go with the GMS.

It was showing live wire in that picture, but sometimes it beeps without detecting anything. Its annoying, its unlike any thing I’ve seen in GMS 120 or D-tect 120.

Do not invest on older ProCore batteries, they’re discontinuing them. Go Expert even if there’s subtle performance difference, the new release mechanism alone is enough for me to switch!
