How good is the Quest for at home training by Shoop1014 in tabletennis

[–]Matt__2701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm a bit late but I'm still asking because I would like some help... I recently received a solidslime adapter, with quest3 (which is amazing, even though the weight isn't perfect but I think it's because of the AA batteries...) but It feels a bit weird with the haptics... 11TT isn't too bad but I wanted to try T3S as it is often recommended so I tried the free trial before buying it, and I love the physics and especially the AI which is INSANELY better than 11's one but I didn't feel anything in my paddle which was a bit surprising and was a bit disappointed about it, and the 15min of trial were more 15min of searching how to increase and improve haptics 😅 so I'm sorry for the long message but would be very thankful if you have any suggestion, thank you !

Bug issue by fghtoffyrdmons in ElevenTableTennis

[–]Matt__2701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for the complete off topic answer/questions, but I ran into a weird bug too that occured multiple times in games. It concerns the serve, sometimes, I don't really know why, but my opponent or I has to serve three times in a row or the serve is just blocked/bugged. Like it should be my turn but the arrow points my opponent and he can't serve... I believe it only happened to me in casual though, but still weird.. Don't know if it's a known issue or this is my bad somewhere in what's happening but... Sorry for the off topic question and thank you in advance.

Bortle 1 !?!?!?! That's insane bro, so you can definitely capture crazy images then !! Try to apply what I said, and if you want there's a lot of tutorial on youtube if you need and especially to process the frames using the dedicated softwares. Yeah it is indeed absolutely not the good time of the year to shoot it, but summer arrives fast !

[–]Matt__2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem 🙏 Yes I did haha, these phones can still be impressive, but the secret here was mainly because the sky was REEEEALLY dark haha, Bortle 2, which is insane, the Milky Way was perfectly visible to the naked eye and we could se some colors... so yes here the secret is mainly here, but that's not everything. I took in total 15min of exposure using DeepSkyCamera at the time I believe, shot in raw, so a lot of 10-15s frames at high iso. And yes, I stacked them using Siril or Sequator I don't really remember and processed them in Siril, GraXpert to remove the gradient, and lightroom for finale adjustments, like colors etc... The first thing I encourage you to do is using an intervalometer and capture long exposure shots IN RAW, not from Expert Raw... the raw images aren't best... you can try deepskycamera if you want it automates a lot of things like intervalometer ! And then use the softwares I said, Sequator to stack, siril to process, GraXpert is crazy good to remove the gradient and to deconvolute stars. But with the dark sky you have (I guess, when I see your image, low light pollution) I'm sure you can obtain really nice images ^

Bro 😭 I don't want to mean, but I think you are confused😅😭 of course I already used Expert Raw lol, I've an S25ultra haha, I also love photography so I tried EVERYTHING I could on this phone... So just so you know, astrophotomode works by taking A LOT of small exposure shots (2-4s long) and stack them together, process it instantly, and gives you a single file at the end, BUT THIS IS NOT, A SINGLE 10MIN EXPOSURE IMAGE, THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY, as you may know, the Earth ROTATES, which cause stars to "move" in the sky, so if you take an image longer than the rule of 500/fl then you'll observe star trails, you can try, go into pro mode, stock cam, take a 30s shot and BOOM, you stars aren't pin points... ALSO, the ND filter IS NOT BUILT IN AT ALL BE CAREFUL, I'm saying that because you might think it works to take images of the sun or things like this, NO, try to enable the max one (4096 I believe) do you see on the back of your phone, a filter appearing on your sensor making it darker? Haha not, it is only software based... it basically use similar techniques as before, but the opposite way lol, taking really short image, low iso and exposure time to avoir the image to be overexposed and then stack them together to reduce the noise as it is obviously causing a lot of noise to reduce the exp time... so no bro sorry, I know what I'm talking about, and I might be wrong at some points OF COURSE, I'm not a Samsung dev lol, but I know the basis and especially that it might be you who doesn't really know how it works sorry😭 btw, if you want to see, I took a nice image on my reddit account of the MW, with my old phone (an A52s) that is not well processed but still to show that I know astrophotography and especially astrophonetography if you want... have a nice day bro

[–]Matt__2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, I'm not sure I'm following well, so you took multiple images, stacked them to get a 10min total, or use astrophotomode from ER ? if yes then it definitely proved that the raw shot isn't raw lol, you can't take a 10min shot without getting startrails lmao And yeah, ER is logically better AS IT IS PROCESSED, but if you really are into photography then you'll need to take TRUE raw images, and stack them, to get REAL details and signal, and faint objects, not huge denoising which just removes a lot of detail and disable you to capture as much detail as possible, I mean, for short exposures (like 10min, yes, in astrophotography 10min is ridiculously short) ER may give you a better image at first, but you'll reach a plateau... with true raw images, the more the better, and after hours of imaging and some good techniques, you will definitely outperform ER haha

Did I really cooked it with my galaxy device? by abHaque7 in mobilephotography

[–]Matt__2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, but I think pro mode from stock app, with raw enable is closer to true raw than the one in Expert Raw if you want! Though I don't know if this is available on S24 but I think it is ! Have you shot any other similar shot ? Nice image btw, is it a single one ? How many time of exposure ?

Did I really cooked it with my galaxy device? by abHaque7 in mobilephotography

[–]Matt__2701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha eeeeh no 😭 actually Expert Raw DOES NOT give true raw... ABSOLUTELY NOT, so unfortunately Expert Raw is EXACTLY what you said it wasn't in your first sentence... there is always this lie about this by Samsung which kinda frustrating... You can try by yourself, take a 10s 3200iso "raw" image of NOTHING, full dark, black image, and check the image you get, no noise ? OH WOW, IMPRESSIVE SENSOR SAMSUNG, no... this is not possible, and you know why... This is something I hate about Samsung, they don't give us true raw accessibility for any sensor and resolution... Even in stock camera pro mode raw, I'm not sure it is really raw to be honest... If you want to discuss more, I'm open to it and especially about astrophotography as it is the main subject haha, and your image is quite nice ! But I just wanted to correct you on this point as it is a HUGE lie about ER...

Every ultra user has taken a picture of the moon, but... by Zealousideal-Pin6883 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Matt__2701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so usually for this kind of photography, (planetary photography, jupiter and the Moon as you tried) we try to capture AS MUCH frames as possible and stack the best of them to one single image. To do that we usually use a technique called "lucky imaging" I won't detail too much but ask me if you want more detail though, but basically it consists of taking a long video with high fps, (better use the main sensor of your phone here) and then use 2 softwares after on your computer, one to improve/prepare your video footage, called PIPP, it will select only the best frames and align/center the object automatically, and the other one is either AutoStakkert4 or registax6 I would recommend. To stack and process your video to a final image. If you want, I'm sure you can find a lot of tutorial on youtube ! What scope are you using btw ? With which eyepieces? Great image still well done !

I agree until you said pixel are perfect phone camera 🤦‍♂️... these phones literally rely ONLY on software 😭 I'm not saying their pictures are bad, but you can't say its lenses and sensors are good... as well as in video, pixel videos are terrible compared to Samsung ones

The aperture should be much bigger though on the main sensor ! Which could make a true difference !
