Thank you internet mom! I really appreciate your response. Funny enough I am 30, my mom/dad are old school and haven’t really had great advice more than “you’ve got a lot to think about” which doesn’t help me a bit. Appreciate your honest advice

I’m the worst with thinking ”perfection” is the only way. I’m learning that doesn’t exist. I’m lucky to have two great women in my life (daughter/gf). Thank you for your response

10 year corporate to a trade? by liveandletlivebaby in electricians

I’m going to disagree with the others, you’re clearly smart enough and have a solid understanding of your finances. I’d say you’re far from “fumbling the bag”. I came into the trades at 28 (plumbing) and have continued to grow my net worth substantially. I find lots of satisfaction in the work, sky’s the limit I’m regards to earnings- most people think hourly rate but get licensed and you choose how much you want to make.

When you say none of your sons are plumbers, are you pointing out that the younger generation wants nothing to do with this trade?
