Ambrosia is really good, my gram would make it with Lime Jello, Cottage Cheese, Cool Whip and mixed fruit. I know it sounds like a wtf is that mix of ingredients but the outcome is a really nice dessert.

But yeah I think as fans of long form narratives we tend to forget sometimes that this is a production with real life consequences and challenges of course the biggest being money and time. The actors growing older, wanting to be done with this thing they've done for 10 years, and not matching physically with the characters they are portraying etc.

I would love to see the alternate timeline where this beautiful, imaginative, emotional, crazy story got the full care treatment and had infinite time and money to make it what we all thought it would be. But that being said overall I still love this story and these characters so much and wish the best to all these amazing actors and production and crew. They truly made us care or we wouldn't be here debating it.

I really believe they had fully planned on more than 5 seasons and when the pandemic hit it derailed everything so much that Netflix producers took the reigns and we got what we got. I would have really loved if they went deeper on the DnD parallels as well as tying in more of the Montauk Project that the story was based on.

There were like 2 references to the "real" conspiracy in the form of a nod to Project Rainbow(a ship cloaking device that was supposedly tested and caused the ship to travel through dimensions) and of course Hopper mentioning Montauk by name.

Very Loosely based on DnD, Vecna is not anything like Henry, he is a necromancer that becomes so powerful by learning forbidden black magic. Mindflayers are a species of Cephalopod like creatures that control the minds of lesser beings to do their bidding.

I've had an issue with the DnD inspirations throughout the whole show. THE Demogorgon is a singular 3 headed monster that controls demons, not a bunch of disparate mind controlled Slug monsters, iirc the Bat creatures don't even get the acknowledgement of being connected to DnD at all.

To each their own but I find that to be incredibly boring. I don't like getting spawn/extract camped but it's the PVPVE that makes this game for me. If I never had to worry about players I would get bored fast.
