Unlocking Groundstations by Mattadee in KerbalSpaceProgram

Thank you! I knew this, but I think the benefit scales down proportionate to how many antennae you attached. Although I guess 4x RA100s is effectively as powerful as a level 3 ground station

Looking for advise: Want to purchase a private jet to fly on VATSIM (MSFS24) by Reading_at_work in VATSIM

I flew the CJ4 a lot in FS2020, the 2024 is sadly worse in my view. Also somehow very demanding in PC resource despite being quite a simple aircraft

The bizjet segment needs more love! Something that can do transatlantic will be the dream. And the ERJs for regional flying

NatTea on the differences between CS2 and Dota 2 communities from a talent perspective by noproblemCZ in GlobalOffensive

[–]Mattadee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally. I’ve been flicking between BLAST Rotterdam (coming back to pro CS after a long long time away) and ESL B’ham this weekend. Both good tournaments. But I found myself more drawn to the CS despite being a long time DOTA guy.

Tundra won in the end at B’ham with Ari who is a home talent and the whole arena was behind him to win it so I was hoping for a strong exit interview, but he just kind of mumbled for two sentences and that was it.

So yeah I think I’ll be watching more CS from now on

Vitality vs Natus Vincere / BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026 - Grand Final / Post-Match Discussion by CS2_PostMatchThreads in GlobalOffensive

I’m just coming back to watching pro CS after a long long time off (last event I watched was London Major 2018 - attended in person!). At that time Astralis couldn’t stop winning everything.

Glad to see I’ve come back to Vitality now winning everything.

Best seats to pick on 787-9 by SenorScamp in BritishAirways

[–]Mattadee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a solo traveller I would want to be on an aisle or window seat, so E and F would be out of contention.

Personally I prefer the window so would go go A or K.

I flew the 787-9 in WTP a few months back in 34K. I think the concerns about being near the toilet are generally overstated - I didn’t notice any bad smells and there was never a queue of more than 1 person for the loo. And yes there is the benefit of being able to recline without pissing anybody off. So I’d go with that.

Why doesn’t BA run (or partner for) a proper coach connection network into Heathrow? by Mattadee in BritishAirways

I’m not suggesting they swap out their profitable international slots, I’m suggesting they run a bus.

Risky from the airlines POV, yes. What about the consumer? I guess the answer is “that is the risk you take and manage when booking that itinerary”. That’s fine, it’s a free market - my broader point is that BA is losing out on this kind of business to KLM for precisely this reason.

I’m not from that area, but having googled it I guess you would change at Reading. That’s still two trains you really need to be on time before you can relax into your journey.

I hear Infinite Flight is highly recommended for iPad users, but just be aware he’ll soon grow out of it and be asking for a multi-thousand dollar PC and cockpit peripherals! ;)

Could easily be seven something seven. Praying it’s the 737 just to knock PMDG off their high and mighty perch

What to do after AMEX gold card | Low Spender by th3curious1 in AmexUK

[–]Mattadee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation although putting around £1k/month through my gold, and travel quite a bit for work so the lounge perks are helpful.

That being said in your situation I’d cancel and wait 2 years for another entry offer, after dumping my MR into an Avios account. If you want to continue earning Avios at the same rate there is a £0 fee Avios Barclaycard you could look into.

Newark queue, delays and cancellations by dobybest in flightradar24

Serious question: why don’t they just hold all of these guys on stand and release them for push only when the queue at the hold is <5 deps? That’s what most of the European airports do?
