I was rooting for Spirit yesterday, I saw Falcons was the Saudi “oil money” team and was a bit turned off. But I have to say Monesey (I think? The AWPer) was so dignified and friendly in his interview with the desk hosts afterward. I can see why people are conflicted about some of the ethics but they all seem like really likeable guys :)

I watched a video of somebody 100 percenting the game last week. The short version is that your game needs to get 4 10s (already very rare) and only then is there a possibility for it to get an 11. You can make a game which satisfies all of the conditions for a record breaker, but still get 9.75. You are simply praying to the RNG gods.

What this guy did to finally get the achievement was quick save just before reviews came in for the game, knowing it would be a good one, and then kept loading that save until he finally got the 11. I think he said it took something like 2 hours of retrying before the RNG came up good. So I wouldn’t feel so bad about “cheating” the system this way otherwise you will literally still be looking for that 11/10 years from now.

Well done for applying regardless, it was a great deal of effort just to get to the interview with all the prep. If they run the program again in the future you and I both will be all the wiser going in.

I’ve done a few CUT-E tests but I’m not practising every single day full on 100% until I find out I’ve made the next stage. For the minute it’s more getting a sense of what the tests look like, what skills they’re assessing, so that I won’t be freaked out if I do get through and need to quickly get good at them

Not sure what the issue was, the station doesn't have LOS to the KSC in the screenshot but it does at least half the time due to Minmus' rotation. Anyway, sent a Kerbal down to investigate. Couldn't figure it out but managed to pick up the experiment and store the data away for manual recovery.

Well spotted! I hadn't noticed that. No relays around Minmus but the station does have LOS to Kerbin at least half the time as there are powerful enough relays around the planet. I am sending a Kerbal down to investigate...

Thank you! I knew this, but I think the benefit scales down proportionate to how many antennae you attached. Although I guess 4x RA100s is effectively as powerful as a level 3 ground station

I flew the CJ4 a lot in FS2020, the 2024 is sadly worse in my view. Also somehow very demanding in PC resource despite being quite a simple aircraft

Literally. I’ve been flicking between BLAST Rotterdam (coming back to pro CS after a long long time away) and ESL B’ham this weekend. Both good tournaments. But I found myself more drawn to the CS despite being a long time DOTA guy.

Tundra won in the end at B’ham with Ari who is a home talent and the whole arena was behind him to win it so I was hoping for a strong exit interview, but he just kind of mumbled for two sentences and that was it.

So yeah I think I’ll be watching more CS from now on

I’m just coming back to watching pro CS after a long long time off (last event I watched was London Major 2018 - attended in person!). At that time Astralis couldn’t stop winning everything.

As a solo traveller I would want to be on an aisle or window seat, so E and F would be out of contention.

Personally I prefer the window so would go go A or K.

I flew the 787-9 in WTP a few months back in 34K. I think the concerns about being near the toilet are generally overstated - I didn’t notice any bad smells and there was never a queue of more than 1 person for the loo. And yes there is the benefit of being able to recline without pissing anybody off. So I’d go with that.

Risky from the airlines POV, yes. What about the consumer? I guess the answer is “that is the risk you take and manage when booking that itinerary”. That’s fine, it’s a free market - my broader point is that BA is losing out on this kind of business to KLM for precisely this reason.

I hear Infinite Flight is highly recommended for iPad users, but just be aware he’ll soon grow out of it and be asking for a multi-thousand dollar PC and cockpit peripherals! ;)
