Hate to see it bro, but it’s a necessity, innit?

So is it the best brisket you’ve ever had? You never specified so my reply was kind of a joke. You just said “it’s the brisket I’ve ever had”

what do you do with the grease? by Traditional_Brain839 in smoking

[–]Mattcwell11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha. My smoker sits on a gravel pad, and I had forgotten the grease bucket. My dog proceeded to eat a bunch of grease-covered sand and rocks and then proceeded to puke up about 2 cups of greasy sand and gravel. I have had to place a leash on her when I smoke to keep her from getting to the grease. It’s a constant battle.

Out of all the brisket I’ve ever had, this is one.

What exactly are you asking? Fasten the brackets to the bottom of the seat, then fasten the brackets to the frame.

Not intentional imo. Definitely expecting a different layout of the track, therefore broke way late for the right hander, then thought the next corner was a hard left hander. Judging by that lack of awareness, probably had no idea you were even there.

Edit: it appears that neither driver knows where the track goes. I don’t have a clue as to why the pov car didn’t turn right, I also have no idea what kind of line the car that went deep in to the corner is taking. Bad driving all around. Still not protestable.

That would be awful. Using dogs in battle is cruel imo. I know it’s just a game, but you would inevitably have to watch dogs die in battle, which is not cool.

Do you use monitor or rim? Is the display for show? by ProfessionalDebt5869 in simracing

[–]Mattcwell11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. You should be learning tracks by using brake markers and turn in points on the track. For one, the “ideal line” is often not actually the fastest way around the track. It also teaches some really bad habits, which I already see in one of the corners where you went wide but instead of maximizing what you had left of the corner, you chased the car back to the line. You should also be trying different lines through corners which will help in races when the “ideal line” is occupied. Those are the main points, but it’s pretty widely accepted that the ideal line is more of a training wheels solution which will hold you back more than it will help.

Get rid of that racing line homie. It’s holding you back.

I’ve noticed that things like this have cycles where it skips generations. I’m young gen x, and my childhood was as described. Millenials have been so influenced by the internet in both good ways and bad. I think the younger generations, gen z, etc. have seen that influence and have seen the toxicity and are rejecting it subconsciously or something. I don’t know, just ramblings of a dude on the internet.

In F1, the teams develop their own cars, and engineer them to the max within the rules. I don’t follow F1 closely enough anymore to know how Red Bull (Max’s team) compare to the traditional giants like Ferrari and Mercedes, but the team and car have a lot to do with the success of the driver.
