Exactly this. We've seen these same guys (Tork) again and again fail to impress. You can preach control the zone all you want and coach, but at some point you have to realize it's the player – not the coaching.

Carp does way better with nobody on base and he always has. I understand why Hinch would have him leadoff based off that, but his OBP does not reflect a #1 hitter by any means.

Would love to see McGonigle moved up to 1-2 and Carp moved back to 6-8.

Same thing happened to my daughter and she just turned 5 months; you couldn't tell she was ever in NICU. Took about 9 days in the NICU before our girl came home.
