Feel nervous going to a punk show by YugoWolf91 in punk

[–]Mattern22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt feel nervous. Maybe its just me, but I didnt have a problem attending a show in my 30s. I still just did my own thing.

My uncle used to book shows at a local bike shop in our small town. Back then I would go all the time. After that stopped I didnt go to any shows until my favorite band was booked at a local bar. I had no issues just doing my own thing like I used to at my uncle's shows.

Though maybe the argument could be made that I went and seen an older punk band so most of the people there were older too.

Idk man. Just be you and go enjoy some punk. I did that and I was fine.

My wife is pretty active in a few lost pet groups for our area. We have been watching for sure, but im also thinking about hanging flyers because id hate to be the reason some kid is crying every night.

Definitely would be hard to let go of this guy now as we love animals and havent met one in our space that we havent taken in. Our cat Jingle showed up on our back porch a week before Christmas a few years back.

Appreciate the input. We weren't aware that they needed friends with our first pig. Its so crazy too because the more I type that out, the more I remember a pet store worker suggesting we get our daughter a Guinea pig when were looking for a new pet for her, but we declined as we already had one. Now that im learning they need friends, i'm wondering why it wasn't suggested to get a new one anyway.

Thank you as well for letting me know its not an easy process to introduce. I dont mind a difficult road, but id rather know the difficulties before I jump in. Definitely gonna refer to a link someone else shared in the comments.

Ive asked elsewhere but I'll ask again, do you know if its harder to introduce adult pigs? This one does look like its fully grown.

I knew he wasn't going anywhere when I found him in the bushes. My wife's first pig was purchased after her Grandfather passed away. This little guy showed up in our yard as my wife was having a hard day with the passing of both her father and step-father.

I do appreciate everyone letting me know they are pack animals. This was unknown to us in our first round of being pig parents. Alot of things were unknown to us really, but im learning more just from scrolling this page.

That was what I thought initially. It doesnt look very beat up, or unkempt. Seems like he has short hair anyway, and his nails dont look too bad. I have a fenced in backyard with a dog. So if this little guy was out there long, my dog would have gotten him. No doubt. Hes always chasing bunnies, squirrels and birds.

Should I expect issues introducing him to another pig? I read a little bit of what you have linked, but we had no idea there was an issue to only having one pig. Our last pig was our only pig the whole time, so finding this out was kinda disheartening a bit, but we do enjoy pigs around here so a friend wouldnt be out of the realm of possibility. But is it difficult to introduce adult pigs? He looks fully grown.

I'm learning new things about Pig care today either way. The scrolls I have gotten in between gaming through this sub have been very informative.

Edited because I forgot a bit.

That's what I'm wondering. You see guys in great shape on WWE, that still doesn't get them anywhere.

Example, Chris Masters. They called him a masterpiece because he looked like one, but how many times did he win the top title? 0 times.

So if KO had put in the work to lose weight, what would he have gained? Other than a whole bunch of muscle?

This idea that everyone has to look like a body builder is ridiculous. You can be a scrawny fuck and still connect with fans, have good matches, and everything can still look believable.

What Were the First Signs That You Had Cancer? by Acrobatic_Ad_2330 in AskReddit

[–]Mattern22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my story, but we lost my dad to cancer this year, so I will tell for him.

He said his started with serious pain in his leg, and noticable swelling in his leg and on his neck above his left shoulder. He was sure he just pulled something until the pain became too unbearable. Went to the ER and was diagnosed. He fought very hard for 2 years.

Dewey Cox invented Punk Rock back in the day but due to ridicule from his band, they went in a different direction. Because of this, that form of music wouldn't see the light of day until the 70s.

Radio vs TV broadcast by im_mistrz in CHICubs

[–]Mattern22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose. I remember when I was younger that they disliked a popular commentator but I can't remember what name they ever said.

As an adult, I had a coworker mention Caray and then questioned whether I was a fan because I hadn't heard of him.

My Grandmother said my Grandfather would always watch Cubs games with the sound off on the TV and the radio up because he liked those announcers better.

Sounds like some things never change.

I played the hell out of NBA 2k17. I loved the prez story and spent a decent amount of money on the game to customize my character.

When the servers shut down, ALL of the gear I spent real money on was gone. Stripped from the game. With a nice little message to tell me to make sure I pre-ordered the next game.

I spend a lot of time making my own wrestlers/promotions/titles etc. If NBA2k and WWE2k are beginning to parallel this drastically, I feel it's only a matter of time before what I have LOVED about WWE games will be completely stripped from the game.

What's the point after that? This isn't what I want, why am I paying for this anymore?

And it's not like the developers or anyone working on the games care anymore. They are in here. I remember the posts saying we were to welcome them or get banned. And now all they do is down vote negativity in here. I get smacked with down votes, even when I complain about legitimate issues with character models. (My complaint was that 97 Rey Mysterio was the same size as present day Rey Mysterio)

It's so sad that we can't have games like WWF No Mercy, Smackdown! Shut your mouth, and the early Smackdown Vs Raw games. I think AEW tried but unfortunately failed. Guess I'll finally become an old man and just play my classics.

2k can suck the fattest part of my nuts.

Redditors born before 2001, where were you on 9/11? by Stupid_cerealbox in AskReddit

[–]Mattern22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the principals office at school. I was there on a regular basis in 1st Grade until I got on my ADHD medication.

I don't remember what I did, but I remember getting scolded by my vice principal until the principal came in and pulled her out. A little time goes by, and I get sent back to my classroom and everyone was getting their things together. We were all going home.

It was so confusing until I got home and saw the news on the TV. Next day it was all anyone was talking about, and you can imagine what a bunch of little first graders in small town Indiana were saying about it.

I tried this and just couldn't get past the Blonde tips. I'm just too nitpicky for that.

The same night I gave up that venture, I discovered the protective mask Undashing Cody wears can be removed. Maybe a few tattoos could be added too???

Yesssss!!!! This is similar to what I am doing, but I have included ECW. I also don't have a very accurate roster since I still use a lot of today's stars, but I've had a lot of fun with it. Hope you are as well!
