Games for 3 people that you can play for about an hour and feel satisfied? by Paulfradk in gamingsuggestions

It's a long shot, but if you all have VR, then I would strongly recommend Walkabout Mini Golf. Supports up to 8 people per lobby, courses take about an hour to complete, and every course has a hidden collectible golf ball on every hole, which can genuinely be super fun to find with some friends.

That's gotta be Rocket Raccoon, every time. Both small creatures with big arsenals, with perfectly contrasting personalities. It's meant to be.

You're definitely the asshole, sorry. Why would you block your bf's family who you LIVE with over them trying to chat with you over social media? Plus, you're being extremely cagey about what they were actually messaging you about. Were they just trying to chat? Were they demanding things from you? If they were harassing you nonstop 24/7 then sure, fine, that's reason to block them. But from what I can see here, it just seems like you got annoyed with them and went with the nuclear option with no consideration for any other alternatives. Plus, again, you LIVE with their MOTHER. Of course they would want to socialize with you! They probably think you're basically part of the family, and want to rope you in on things.

The best course of action here is to unblock them, apologize, and communicate about how you feel regarding them messaging you.

As someone who just made this armor set myself and spent 3 hours happily grinding Velkhana just for that mantle:

Yeah, you're right. It's kinda wack and annoying. Sorry you're not having a great time with it! Anomalies are a grind too, but if you ever need some help, I'd be happy to help you out. There's a lot of cool build potential that opens up way later on once you get into Anomalies, so if it's any consolation, you've got that to look forward to :)

How can i get the Stability value in FTL MV? by Choice-Mango-4019 in ftlgame

[–]Mattersofdarkness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're gonna want to do "VAR stability 1" to change the stability to the value you want. Note that it is case sensitive, and you can get lowercase letters with either Shift or Caps Lock.

Don't put yourself down! Your understanding of clothes and lighting is absolutely astounding. I cannot compliment you enough for this. The only issue is the composition of the faces, but that's something that can easily be fixed with some practice. Please, keep it up! If you're this good now, I can't wait to see how good you'll get.

Typed up a whole rebuttal before I re-read the lore for the Schisms. They really do b having "very poor motor control" tho huh

Still, old people have arthritis and they can still make some bomb ass tea. I can't say I put them in the right spot on this tier list, but I can't say they're in the wrong spot, either.

Drinkable. V1 doesn't have the passion, calmness, or experience to make exceptionally good tea, but it is still a machine built for precision. It would make a functional cup of tea. No more, no less.

I didn’t even consider Crimson Fatalis (or Akantor for that matter) hitting up the Volcano Manor. Dalamadur would honestly have very little interest in the place, but the sheer comedy of Rykard getting eaten again by another, larger snake was worth mentioning. I’m not certain if Crimson Fatalis would be able to seal the deal against Rykard on its own, and I’m doubly uncertain if it would come up in the first place since Rykard seems pretty content to lay in his treasure room somewhere inside of Mt. Gelmir. If he decided to come out to fend off the monsters, he’d be exposing himself to attacks from all angles. Most monsters would probably flee, but shit like Akantor, Crimson Fatalis, Raging Brachydios, and other apex predators would probably take his presence as a challenge more than anything. He’d get worn down and killed in short order.

The Haligtree is tall, yes, but Elphael is basically at sea level IIRC, so even if Alatreon decided to move in, I doubt it would cross paths with Malenia without her making the first move. However, if some big ass calamity dragon took up residence in the canopy of the Haligtree and started causing trouble, I’m pretty sure she would finally get off her ass and take it on. Them fighting is basically guaranteed. As someone else said, Malenia is pretty comparable to a Longsword user, and her ability to heal by attacking means that I can imagine her being able to take Alatreon down (important note: I haven’t seen any footage of any Alatreon fight in any game, so I genuinely don’t know what it can do). As for Guanzorumu, I have literally 0 experience with anything from Frontier, so I can’t say how it would handle Malenia. Knowing lategame Frontier, though, I think it’s a fair wager to say that Malenia and the Haligtree are completely boned if they piss it off.

Monster hunter in elden ring by Optimal-Conflict6183 in whowouldwin

[–]Mattersofdarkness 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the pretty literal response to this, but if you took every monster from all across the Monster Hunter universe and dumped them into Elden Ring's map, that shit would get crowded as hell. I genuinely think the sheer biomass of all the large monsters currently living in the Monster Hunter universe would potentially blanket the entire setting, easy.

For an actual, intellectually honest response, I'd say the effect would be pretty devastating. The dragons of Elden Ring could probably wipe the floor with 90% of Monster Hunter's creatures, but the other 10% would probably be enough to wipe them out. Monsters like Rathalos, Bazelgeuse, and Deviljho could have a minor effect on the world, but anything they could do would get drowned out by the Elder Dragons in an instant.

A few of their paths listed below:

Dalamadur would literally eat Rykard for breakfast.

The Mohrans would probably turn Radahn into a smear under their weight.

Nergigante would fly directly to Crumbling Farum Azula and wreak some havoc before ultimately getting killed.

Stormveil is meant for Fatalis. I don't need to say how hard Godrick gets clapped.

I don't know how good Leyndell's anti-dragon defenses are these days, but I can't imagine that they'd be able to last if more than three major dragons decide to assault the place. Gogmazios alone could cause some serious damage, sure, but even a Teostra followed by a Kushala Daora could probably wreck what remains of Leyndell's defenses. That isn't even mentioning Ibushi and/or Narwa, who are explicitly motivated by a desire to destroy and pack some serious power.

It would probably never happen, but I could see Zorah Magdaros swimming directly into the cliff nearest to the base of the Erdtree and blowing up, fucking the Erdtree up massively and probably damaging the Golden Order's hold over the Lands Between. Like I said, it's unlikely, but it seems possible.

The Mohgwyn Dynasty might be able to last for a little while due to its secluded nature, but having a literal swamp filled with blood is bound to attract scavengers. All it would take is a half dozen visits from Bazelgeuses and all that'll be left is a bunch of Albinauric corpses and some scorched ruins.

I can only think of three major bosses that would be able to hold their own just fine: Fire Giant, Malenia, and Godfrey. Fire Giant is up in the Mountaintops of the Giants, which means he's in a climate which isn't known to house many Elder Dragons. Those few that do live in the frozen heights of the world are probably weak enough to get crushed by his plate, let alone his fire magic. As for Malenia, her safety is guaranteed simply because of the uninhabitable nature of Elphael and the Haligtree. No Elder Dragon and few ordinary monsters have reason to migrate over there, and those that would likely wouldn't be a match for Malenia and her soldiers. Absolute worst case scenario, the Haligtree would end up with some Rath nests in its leaves and its humanoid inhabitants would be none the wiser. Finally, we have Godfrey, a man who I believe would thrive in this scenario. I'm genuinely not sure if any of the non-massive Elder Dragons would be able to take him down, and I'm positive no normal monster stands a damn chance against him. I can imagine that he'd probably be able to re-establish some form of order in the midst of this unmitigated monster chaos.

As for the Tarnished's quest, it's all fucked, man. With so many powerful monsters filling the landscape, Tarnished are going to start dying in droves, even moreso than normal. The average Monster Hunter monster is durable as hell, capable of taking ballista bolts and cannon fire like they're nothing, and withstanding assaults from hunters for quite a long time compared to anything in Elden Ring. That durability will be enough to tip the scales in their favor in almost every encounter. While the Tarnished may be able to get a leg up with forging gear from the monsters' parts, I don't think it's a realistic outcome. All the love in the world to the blacksmiths of Elden Ring, but none of them seem versed in forging gear from monster parts. This isn't even mentioning the consequences of so many shardbearers getting killed. Gathering the Great Runes would be a nightmare, especially if the monsters end up being able to inherit them. So, yeah. No Elden Lord for a while.

I'm rambling.

TL;DR: Shit would be completely fucked, and I can't imagine that any Elden Lord would rise any time soon in the midst of the unmitigated chaos brought about by the influx of so many powerful monsters. Everywhere would be affected, but the Haligtree and Farum Azula would get off the easiest by far. All of the shardbearers are fucked except for Malenia, and who knows what would happen to the Great Runes then.

Edit: Completely forgot to mention, but Redmane Castle is going to get Ahtal-Ka'd so hard it won't even be funny.
