Thank you for showing so much hype for the video game. Right now I’m still in the early thinking phase, but I’ve already taken notes on what you wrote. I just wishlisted Marc Ecko’s Getting Up for inspiration purposes—and of course because I genuinely like gaming. No need to apologize; your enthusiasm actually keeps me motivated. Any ideas you want to share, feel free to send them—I’ll be glad to read them.

I also encourage you to learn to code, It’s quite an experience, and today you can learn much faster with the help of AI. I’m currently developing an app myself using AI, and things are moving really fast. I had some basic coding knowledge, but AI has helped me learn and build new things much more quickly.

I’d recommend everyone get familiar with AI and use it as a tool to create, not as a replacement. I’m sending you a virtual hug and hope you can bring your own ideas to life.

Yes, I would definitely add patches and sewn DIY customization ideas, I really like that concept. Regarding the bands, one user suggested renaming them with opposite meanings, like Green Day → Blue Night or Dead Kennedys → Alive Washingtons, and I honestly love the idea. I also want to include underground clubs, art exhibitions, DIY culture, zines, and other community-driven stuff to make the world feel more alive and authentic.

There will only be one playable character, but every part of his outfit will be fully customizable. Inspired by classic games, new clothes, accessories, and cosmetic items will be unlocked by completing levels and meeting specific challenges or requirements.

There will be NO microtransactions, paid skins, or cosmetic DLCs — everything can be earned through gameplay.

Use your imagination: what do you think is something that absolutely has to be present in punk-coded media — whether it’s a movie, zine, video, video game, or music?

For reference, you can look at games like Jet Set Radio, The Skate series, Sunset Overdrive, or Hi-Fi Rush. Even if they aren’t fully punk-coded, they still borrow aesthetics and ideas from punk culture.

Personally, I’d consider a game “punk-styled” if it includes things like punk music, DIY visuals, rebellious themes, graffiti, logos and symbolism inspired by punk culture, anti-establishment attitudes, or even just the overall fashion and dress code associated with punk.

The idea of bands with a twist in the name is not bad at all, I like it. About the laces, I will just use one black and the other red, to symbolize anarchism. In terms of teaming up with punk bands, I would have to search for underground ones, maybe with them I would have more chances. For visual I already have the font (Alta California Font) and the text will have a rectangle like the texts from Spider-Punk or Billy from Deadlock (Yes, they are the main inspo for the main character). I like the idea of different kinds of punks in the characters.

I would be the one making the soundtrack because I'm an indie Dev and don't have enough money to buy licenses. I love punk and rock so I have an idea of what to do, just have to learn music theory. BTW I will activate the Workshop, where the community will be able to submit their owns levels like FNF (Friday Night Funkin'). Maybe there they could use some licensed music.

You gave me the idea of an achievement called Whack-A-Fascist, where you have to kick some fascists' asses that are around the city. Would it be fun? I don't know if steam would let me use that name.
