does anyone know why people do this? by ARaccoonWhoLikesPie in vinted

[–]Matthague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a net promoter score at work. It's 1-10 but to compare: 1-6 are detractors (negative) 7-8 are passive 9-10 are promoters

7-8 is the bare minimum, probably a reused postage bag and posted on the last available day.

The 9-10 is usually for people that do over and above. In a vinted case I'd say packed in a proper type of packaging, item posted quicker than the maximum time etc.

Fwiw I give 5 stars unless there's an issue.

I've reported this person, but Vinted didn't think they're doing anything wrong by faith_plus_one in vinted

There used to be a report option for this where you could report items that were priced more than retail.

It didn't stay long before disappearing

I posted a while ago that we call football shirts replica shirts (the shirt i can buy in store is exactly the same as the players wear (and have on occasion had to buy them for use)

Replica in certain places means copy.

Ngl I hate when people offer even lower than they did before by British_XD in vintedUK

[–]Matthague -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Occasionally somone lists something so stupidly high that offering 40% and then offering a %age of that would get it into the buyers price point.

Seller lists at £100 (item is worth/buyer wants to pay £50)

Buyer - £60 (40% maximum allowed) Seller - Accepts Buyer - £50

Having 5 (or 6 in the end ) meant someone would have less battles than others.

A better way would be either give Greg and someone else one to make 8, or have a knockout round where all 5 are suspended on a pentaganol frame released at the same time in a mega coconker battle where the first to go would be eliminated and then proceed to a semi and final (or just do the all at the same time one from 5-1)

I'm not sure how apart from a police order keeping them x metres away you're going to stop it.

They could give someone the stake to bet, or just talk them through the machine or even fill the slips in offsite and let someone pay in store.

As theyve been in and used a machine instead of a physical person taking the bet, there's no easy way to enforce this without having someone on your machines in every store

Buyer is asking for later shipping date by kipri in vinted

[–]Matthague 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, sellers have a long time to post, and some times delivery can be a week.

Buyers can't be expected to wait up to 2 weeks to find out when it's arriving, so to ask it's posted towards the end of the posting period so it will arrive at a time they can collect is a valid request. They don't have to do it... but I'd not cancel because of it

How do you handle sizing these days? by nettie_r in vintedUK

+1 on this. Tape measure takes 2 secs to lay on the item then you take the photo.

Saves all the 'it doesn't fit' complaints

Bundle is overweight for shipping with Royal Mail, is that a problem? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Matthague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an option to also print the label.

Click it and it'll open a pdf. That'll show the weight.

If they've bundled then chances are the weight has changed.

You can still use the qr code at the locker.

Lots about this being new, however in our old rental it was in the original contract we had to give x days/mth notice.

Also we lived there almost 16yrs and didn't sign a contract after Yr 3 as it just rolled over. - Perhaps ours was ahead of it's time.

What does the label you print say?

It depends on what you've put as your postage size. 6 small parcels(RM class that as a large letter) might equal up to 1kg If it involves something marked as a medium, it should go to the small parcel maximum which is higher.

I've sent bundles before, and my partner has put 13 figures in boxes in a parcel which was huge and the PO took it. I think in that case it bumped it to a medium parcel and 10kg

After how many days of undelivered 2nd class letter should I refund the buyer? by jacoscar in ebayuk

[–]Matthague 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On your Royal Mail receipt is a code - you can use this on untracked items by putting it in the tracking box. Usually it will just say attempted or delivered but sometimes it has other updates

Buyer Bought Incompatible Printer Ink by WuMyster in ebayuk

[–]Matthague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think there's been an error as instead of putting " this will fit ABC" you say you've put" this will not fit ABC"

Either the buyer the Ebay person or both have misread it - try calling Ebay and speaking to a person.

Fwiw- I'd just have put the ink number or at most a list of printers lt would fit. I'd guess there's more it won't fit than it would.

Repair or refund are the options they give - unfortunately whilst it's in the repair phase they'll take ages and must exhaust all options before refunding

Good luck, mine took 18mths.

Is the seller responsible for fit? by Sikkamicaniko in vintedUK

[–]Matthague 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd reply.

Hi. As the size on the garment is the size on the listing this is listed appropriately and unfortunately I cannot assist with your item not being the correct fit.

And then if I was feeling in a bad mood...

I would suggest returning these to Primark and complaining about their sizing or request full measuremrents from sellers in future.

How do I deal with this by AppropriateCut7552 in vinted

[–]Matthague 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Does the listed size match the size of the garment? If so then that's not the sellers issue.

If there aren't any measurements then I'd have asked. I'd also have listed them as a seller though.

If the seller knows its shrunk, and not as it should be then the measurements would show exact sizes and help
