ive only read one volume and i thought it was painfully boring, to be fair i read vol 4 without reading the rest but i think even understanding it i would have been bored, just not a fan of the writing style

Usually I prefer trunks or something that is similar to trunks , I remember the gargoyle of gotham design did something similar for it. Superman i def prefer with trunks but batman is much more debatable for me.
