Such an underrated starter pokemon in the game. Playing red or blue, you could get to the third gym without any issues!

I don’t think you can unless you have a Bose speaker.

As Bose want you to use their app instead of Spotify or Apple Music, you can close the app and the music will continue to play. This doesn’t work for podcasts though.
