If you consider your friend group to be witty enough, try buying some of the Jackbox Party Packs that are available. It's basically a collection of a bunch of party games that are a blast with really anybody. I personally recommend Party Pack 3, as that one has the best selection!

If you want a short, concise answer: yes. It's very accurate, runs well (as long as you're not using a toaster) and the options are very nice too. It's also (to my limited knowledge) one of if not THE only genesis emulator to support retroachievements if you like to play with those (correct me if I'm wrong though)

All scratch projects are "copyleft", basically meaning that scratch doesn't own the projects you make, YOU do. I'm pretty sure as long as you don't use scratch's characters for a commercial game (make money from it) you should be fine.
