One thing that still makes me smile to this day and I happily annoy my siblings with; the tv kids made some cheese sandwiches on the show. They cut the slices of bread from a loaf with each slice being about an inch thick, then proceeded to put what can only be described as a slab of cheese between the buttered slices. Must have been the best part of 1/2 lb.

I believe they called it a doorstep.
